Parco Buzzaccarini - Boschetto dei Frati In Monselice

Many don't know it, but the park's grove was reconstructed following the original vegetation of the Euganean Hills, with native species and a layout designed to recreate a small "plain forest" like those that once surrounded Monselice. Walking through it, you immediately notice that it's not just an urban garden: There are areas deliberately left "imperfect." Fallen trunks become habitats, and a surprisingly cool microclimate even in summer. A little-known curiosity: under some areas of the park, old medieval canals connected to the city's water systems pass. They're not visible, but they explain the particularly damp soil in certain spots. Those who have frequented the Buzzaccarini for years are well acquainted with: The ducks that patrol the pond area, the park cats, now an integral part of the landscape, and the cultural events that occasionally enliven the area, from open-air theater to markets. Another gem: the park features a small natural composting area used to maintain fertile soil without the use of chemicals. A quiet but intelligent choice.

Large beautiful park with a pond and centuries-old trees. Guaranteed fun for children. There is a bar with shaded seating. In summer it is a very popular area not only for mothers of children but also for elderly people for the fresh air and lots of shade.

An oasis of peace and tranquility where you can admire swans and other small animals living in their natural habitat provided by a pond and lots of greenery with a botanical garden and amusement park for outdoor sports... Inside there is a bar and pizzeria where I often stop to savor the delicious pizzas made by chef Manuel with expert hands; his professionalism is truly evident.... Very beautiful green park with a pond, animals, children's playground, barbecue area, and a very nice soccer field. Enjoy your visit.

Stunning, immense park, full of animals, and charming with its pond/stream. It also has many children's playgrounds. We had lunch there while waiting for the castle to open. Highly recommended for children.

My review focuses specifically on the dog park, the most beautiful and functional in the Euganean Hills that I know of. The managers certainly do their part, now it's up to us furry friends to contribute... cleanliness and mutual respect. Well done.

In addition to finding a park full of large trees, you will find a well-kept botanical garden with descriptions for each plant. In addition, geese, swans and other similar animals coexist with guests in an excellent way. You will also find a large outdoor canopy with a bar and pizzeria with reasonable prices.
