We arrived at the empty restaurant at 7:30 PM. A young girl spoke English and prepared a table outside on the terrace. Viewing the menu is done via a QR code on your mobile. So if you don't have a cell phone with you, it's difficult to order. With her help we were able to order properly. Rest of the tables were reserved. Children (9 & 11 years) shared one dish with three types of meat and each shared a portion of potatoes/fries. This was more than enough for them. The adults both had a delicious eggplant dish (one filled with cheese and the other with tomato) and 1x the roast veal with arugula and goat cheese. Dessert cannoli with limone cream and homemade sorbet (small but delicious). The time for payment was delayed for a long time, so I took the initiative and it turned out that it had to be done. The restaurant has a bar area and there are many smokers outside. This was an inconvenience at first, but it is still common for Italians to smoke next to people eating.

I found this restaurant by chance online and I was curious because it was very close to the house I had rented for a week's holiday. It was a very pleasant surprise: delicious traditional Cilento dishes prepared with quality ingredients, friendly and helpful staff, good service, well-kept and pleasant location. So I went back a second time, confirming my excellent opinion. Absolutely worth trying

A really nice restaurant, very welcoming staff, excellent quality of food, there were seven of us with children, two with celiac disease, the very kind lady let us prepare gluten-free courgettes and anchovies separately as well as an excellent ciambotta! In San Giovanni a Piro, a place offering true Cilento cuisine, excellent raw materials and an interesting range of wines. Quick, punctual service with a waitress who keeps the place running, always kind, smiling and available, always ready to satisfy customer requests. Here we ate a true Cilento menu, the mbuttunate aubergines were amazing, the mbuttunate anchovies were excellent, not to mention the famous ciambotta. Also tasted the sliced ​​veal with local black truffle. The former are beautiful, inviting and abundant. Obviously all washed down with good local Aglianico. The local bitter Penna is excellent, accompanied by delicious figs dipped in chocolate. Anyone wishing to enjoy a pure Cilento menu is in the right place.

A dinner with typical Cilento products. Everything simply delicious. Mixed Cilento appetizer with 0 km products and described in detail by the owner. The first courses are excellent with homemade pasta, the UMBUTUNATE aubergines are a sublime second course before concluding with the desserts. The owner was kind and available to talk to us about the place and describe the dishes.
