Tasty, healthy, fresh, truly homely food. Amazingly, given that it's a little spot nestled among the olive trees, there were several vegetarian and vegan options (each dish listed the ingredients), which were anything but dull and bland as they often are. We ordered stuffed peppers, eggplant parmigiana, and caponata; we couldn't decide which was the best. We also took home a tray of almond pastries. The owner is a kind man; you can even eat overlooking the olive trees, not far from the ancient Mothya. Reasonable prices. We loved it and highly recommend it.

We arrived early, and we were right: the portions are counted, and the owner, a kind, old-fashioned gentleman, notes them down by hand in a notebook when tables before you reserve. No management software, no apps—just paper, pen, and a wealth of experience. The place has an authentic atmosphere rarely found today. Service is a bit slow, especially when it comes to the bill (which is strictly handwritten, with calculations written in pen), but it's worth the wait. The food? Excellent. Simple, authentic, carefully prepared. It truly feels like eating in someone's home, not in any old restaurant. An experience worth trying, especially if you love places that preserve the flavor (and pace) of the past. But remember: go early!
