18/09/2025: We went today for an aperitif, then intrigued by the menu we also booked for lunch, decent aperitif, good platter, special spritz, not the classic spritz that you drink, and perhaps it would have been better if we stopped at the aperitif, lunch unfortunately well below our expectations, stringy roe deer, but the thing that surprised me most, that in the middle of Cansiglio in the middle of the local mushroom season, I was served a plate of mushrooms that they said were Japanese, very dry and not good mushrooms, quite fast service, waiters not very smiling (positive note the bald gentleman with the bandana on his head, very nice and friendly), bill a bit excessive for the quality of the food served
18/09/2025: The Bar Bianco is definitely worth it.
We stopped for lunch, and the bigoli with Alpago Slow Food Presidium lamb ragù were truly splendid. Delicate. Excellent.
The desserts were also quite good. And the house wine was drinkable, too. All this in a fantastic setting.
Before leaving, we also did some shopping: the cheeses and speck were truly excellent, as were the little bags of cookies and savory snacks that we took home in large quantities.
A must-stop, from now on, every time we head back down to the plains... and besides, the road leading to Cansiglio is so beautiful ;-)
