Panificio Padre Pio In Palermo

We stopped here for a late afternoon snack after visiting the Catacombe dei Cappuccini. There is a fair selection of savoury items and a great selection of sweet items. All items are baked in their nearby bakery. Although the food is freshly baked it is obviously re-heated in a microwave - and not very well done. 😒 Seating is outdoors with a slight downside being that it's next to a busy road. You could, however, take your snack across the busy road and enjoy it on a bench in a relatively tranquil garden. Service not particularly friendly. 😐

I'm no expert on Italian pizzas, but having paid more for them at restaurants that didn't seem much better, I found theirs to be quite decent for 5 euros. I didn't come for the service, just a takeout, and they gave me a good answer.

The delivery guy is kinder than the owner. Average pizza (it hardens quickly). Something that made us laugh but it would not be acceptable: I ordered 5 pizzas saying the flavors etc. it tells me the total 50 and something, I think oh well now all pizzas cost 10 euros everywhere. We get 5 family pizzas. We laughed it off, but there is no way you bring me FAMILY pizzas when it was never specified. If we were other types of people they would have ended up thrown away because there was too much, but we kept it for the next day.

We rented accommodation above the shop for 6 days and got our breakfast from below every day. Personally, I really liked it there. The boss was really friendly and made me feel like he was taking care of me. The croissants, cannellos, cakes and everything else were extremely tasty in our opinion, and the price was also absolutely ok. When the boss was there, I just wasn't into it, so I was able to handle her energy well 😉
