Panificio Marchese In Siracusa

09/12/2025: We had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful hotel in late July 2025. The grounds are very nice and the huge pool is quite pleasant during the hot Sicilian summer. Our host was absolutely amazing. She speaks both English and Italian and literally made us feel like we were cousins visiting from Canada. Every morning there is a complete breakfast which always includes scrambled eggs which is not common in Italy. Supper depends on how many guests are dinning in. However, there is an abundance of restaurants close by that are very good. The room was very clean and comfortable and quite spacious for a family of 4. If you are traveling mid summer, DO NOT expect A/C that cools your room do 18C / 64F. That just doesn't exist in Italy. The hotel is a little off the beaten path so traveling with a rental car is preferable. However, everything is close by car and there is always parking to be found. Sicilian Taxis and Ubers will ALWAYS try to scam you in some way or another. Syracusa and Ortigia are very close by car and offer everything you might require. Would for sure stay there again given the opertunity.
