We brought two large almond cakes with us to Croatia. That says it all about this artisan bakery. Even though they didn't have a cake box, the girls packed them in such a way that they survived the flight without any problems. And we ate a few of them at the hotel during our stay. Highly commendable. Good luck.

We bought bread and pastries, and my wife says they're some of the most delicious she's ever tasted. Plus, the lady who served us was one of the kindest people we met in all of Venice. We'll be back!

06/01/2026: Fantastic experience! Very Romantic Barbacani is truly one of a kind. We requested a window seat and were given a beautiful table overlooking the canal, the view alone made the experience special. The fairy lights around the window at our table made it feel even more fairytale-like and incredibly romantic. The flowers on the table were a lovely touch and really added to the atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the steak in peppercorn sauce and it was to die for perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. Every bite was outstanding. From the stunning canal view to the magical setting and amazing food, everything exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend Barbacani to anyone looking for a memorable and romantic dining experience.
