29/07/2025: A charming little corner, with a delicious breeze and very kind and friendly service (the blonde lady was very attentive). However, the fried calamari was excessively greasy and poorly breaded, so it lacked crunchiness. The pasta alla sorrentina was good, but the "anchovies and pecorino" version lacked a single anchovy. The price was exorbitant for the quality of the offerings. We won't be returning.
22/07/2025: It was our first time in Rome – and Trattoria da Paolo was a hit! We ordered the carbonara, and what can I say? It was an absolute dream! So creamy, perfectly seasoned, and simply divine – it couldn't have been better. The restaurant itself is authentic and cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. I'll definitely be back in Rome – if only for this carbonara! A clear recommendation: If you're in Rome, you should definitely eat here!
