What a lovely discovery! Finally, a real trattoria: traditional local dishes in a unique setting. If we're ever in the area again, it'll definitely be one of our stops. Highly recommended.

We ended up at this trattoria in Lodi somewhat by chance, and I must say that fate was a blessing! We were a group of friends, and we all left feeling absolutely thrilled and satisfied, vowing to return as soon as possible.
The atmosphere is authentic and welcoming, but the real triumph is the cuisine, which celebrates Lodi traditions with exceptional dishes and a few surprising touches.
New Flavors and Top Tradition:
The appetizer immediately won us over: the charcuterie and cheese platter was top-notch. We discovered Raspadura, which none of us had ever tried before—a cheese so thin and delicate that it melts in your mouth. A true revelation!
Equally memorable was the pairing with the tomato marmalade: something super special, sweet and sour, and unusual, which perfectly complemented the cheeses. The lard on the platter was also fantastic.
Among the main courses, an honorable mention goes to the meatballs served in polenta: a comforting, rich, and flavorful dish, simply exceptional.
The first courses were also noteworthy. The freshness and intensity of the mushroom flavor were astonishing and elevated the dish to a whole new level. You could taste the top-quality ingredients.
In short, if you're in Lodi and want a true gastronomic experience, with authentic flavors and excellent ingredients (and a must-try Raspadura!), Osteraia Vecchia in Lodi is the right choice.
