Vera ed eccellente cucina mantovana, i maccheroni con la stracotto sono i più buoni che abbia mai mangiato. Personale molto gentile e posto carino e pulito.

We were there a few years ago.. but it wasn't an excellent choice!!!! Then by chance, we heard that there had been a change of management, and I would say that it's a completely different story.... we ate very well, qualified and very kind staff, traditional cuisine and more... the meat and desserts were excellent, next time I'll take the agnoli in brev in vin, which unfortunately were out of stock!!! Historic tavern, founded at the time of the Libyan war in the early 1900s. After a recent change of management; now traditional Mantua dishes are once again offered, such as agnolotti, pumpkin tortelli, pilot rice, boiled meats and stews. The quality of the food is generally good, the service is prompt and very kind, the selection of wines is also good. Prices are average for this type of venue. Open for lunch and dinner, it has outdoor tables and two very welcoming and well-kept internal rooms. Usually you don't need a reservation but perhaps it's worth a call anyway.

Had lunch with a colleague and we really enjoyed the second course (Boiled meat with green sauce and pearà) sweet water and coffee €30: excellent service, excellent cuisine, fair price, comfortable environment. I will definitely go back also because I absolutely have to try the other dishes
