Osteria Senz'Oste In Valdobbiadene

A magnificent place! We bought a small bottle of sparkling wine; it was very good, nice and chilled, and we enjoyed a little aperitif with a view of the Valdobbiadene hills! Note that there was no bottle opener (even though the bottle was sealed with a crown cap), but we managed 🥂

We had a really excellent time visiting these quirky vending machines. Very beautiful sitting amongst the vines drinking glorious local wine and eating some very delicious salami and (slightly boring) cheese. Amazing views. Definitely bring cash as the vending machines are a bit unreliable for card

The place is hard to find. At first, there's only a vending machine with glasses; the machines with Prosecco are only located quite a bit higher up in the vineyard. The view is breathtaking, BUT unfortunately, everything is very run-down. The seating area in the vineyard is a great concept, but some of it is broken. Not every machine accepts credit cards. Furthermore, I think the bottles are overpriced. The idea is fantastic, but the upkeep leaves much to be desired.

L'Osteria Senz'Oste is a unique open-air tavern nestled in the Valdobbiadene hills. There's no staff; visitors serve themselves local products (cheeses, cured meats) and wine from the region. Customers pay directly at a checkout and enjoy their meal overlooking the vineyards. It's excellent, highly recommended 😊🥰

Fridges in the vineyard! This was a concept I had never seen before. Scattered across the hillsides are many wooden benches where you can sit, relax, and enjoy a glass of Prosecco surrounded by beautiful scenery. Even better, you can purchase Prosecco, local cheeses, and charcuterie directly from refrigerated self-service stations installed throughout the vineyard, similar to food vending machines. The views are fantastic, making it the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon.

The scenery is spectacular and makes the experience a marvel. Among the vineyards, there are plenty of seats where you can enjoy a delicious sandwich with vacuum-packed cheese and cured meats from the tavern, where they provide you with a cutting board, knife, and napkins. Then, from the refrigerated vending machines, you can choose your favorite wine, water, or soft drinks, and enjoy it in the plastic cups provided or choose the glass ones with the tavern's logo (for a fee) from the vending machines. Attached to the machines are corkscrews to open the bottle of your choice! Not a convenient place for a stroller! There's a faucet near the entrance, and a bowl for furry friends hanging on the wall! I'd never been there before, even though I live nearby and had heard so much about it. My expectations were completely fulfilled!
