Osteria Rossini In Pisa

An evening in good company and good food.

Very good food in the center of Florence. The sirloin (I think) in truffle sauce, the second cut of meat under porcini mushrooms, and the sea bream – everything was cooked to perfection, and the service was top-notch. The Florentine steak, which I unfortunately skipped, was exorbitantly priced, and of course, because of its weight and size, so it would have to be shared between three or four people, but that's the standard price for this dish here. We dined there for New Year's Eve, and given the quality of the service and the dishes, this place is definitely a great choice for both a family dinner and an elegant gathering. I have nothing to complain about.

The pasta is also excellent, well-creamed and flavorful, with clever combinations that add a touch of modernity without ever losing respect for traditional cuisine. Delicious and interesting appetizers, perfect for sharing. The staff is extremely kind, attentive, and always smiling, which is anything but a given: they offer expert advice and make the experience a real pleasure. In short: Osteria Rossini is a must-see in Pisa. A place to stop if you want to eat truly well, savor Tuscan tradition prepared as it should be, and leave confident you'll want to return. I particularly enjoyed the excellent braised beef with pepper (peposo), which was truly well-cooked. My companions, on the other hand, enjoyed a delicious plate of pici with wild boar ragù. The main courses were meat-based, accompanied by cooked vegetables. The desserts were excellent. I personally had the delicious cantuccini with Vin Santo. The house wine was decent. Good value for money.

We had lunch at Osteria Rossini in Pisa and absolutely loved it! The food was amazing — especially the homemade pasta and the tiramisù. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. A big compliment to the waitress: she was friendly, professional, and gave us great recommendations. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Pisa!
