A delightful place, a typical osteria in the alleyways. Excellent quality, fresh, freshly cooked food, and fair prices. We'll definitely be back!

Osteria Oride is one of the finest food and wine experiences on the western Ligurian Riviera, located in the historic center of Pietra Ligure. Upon entering this charming restaurant, you're immediately struck by its simplicity and family atmosphere: spartan orange and white checked tablecloths, simply laid tables, walls covered in paintings, and numerous books on ancient Ligurian cookbooks, indicative of the historical research that underpins the typical seasonal Ligurian dishes that characterize the varied and varied offerings of Erika, the charming and professional innkeeper. Chatting with her is an engaging and expert immersion in the history of Ligurian cuisine, illustrated in its origins and the local, seasonal ingredients that characterize the menus she expertly and flexibly crafts. She lists top-notch suppliers, clearly selected with sensitivity and... courage! I asked for information on the fish rice soup, and Erika showed me the original book "L'antica cuciniera ligure" (The Ancient Ligurian Cook), taking it from the wall where it's displayed, demonstrating its ancient origins. Wowed, I confirmed the reservation and reserved for two people for dinner.
The immediate instinctive feeling was obviously confirmed and enhanced when the menu was presented to me in a confident, lively voice, and with engaging "passion," explained in great detail, even handing me a very simple, minimal sheet of paper containing the list and concise description of the fifty or so dishes that characterize Erika's culinary offerings, prepared according to the seasonality of the dishes and the daily market and fish supply.
I chose the dishes that most inspired me: I was so satisfied that I immediately confirmed a reservation for the following Sunday, to taste the other delicacies that had made my mouth water.
I'll list some exciting highlights: Marinated anchovies (a starter that truly sets the tone for the meal!), Sweet and sour cod, Brandacujun (unmissable), Fish pudding, Ligurian-style cima, Octopus salad (sumptuous), Gavotti-style sweet and sour summer tripe, Fish rice soup (a unique dish to discover), Borage ravioli, Tagliolini with clams, Trofie with pesto (triumphant), Zemin (triple wow wow wow), Stuffed rabbit or Ligurian-style rabbit (a delight), Fish of the day Mediterranean-style or meunière-style, Tuna in scabeccia (top-notch), Squid meunière-style (perfect balance of flavors), Cremino, Chocolate salami (last but not least).
The wine list offers a selection of typical Ligurian wines, with the addition of some rare, highly prized gems that can also be enjoyed by the glass.
The bill? Very affordable, right, with menus for all budgets, which won't slow down your digestion! :-)
This Osteria is now a favorite with many friends. I've invited them to discover Erika's kindness and professionalism, the impeccable cleanliness, and the true quality—a blend of tradition and the search for excellent raw materials—of her food and wine offerings. They've received enthusiastic feedback and heartfelt thanks. Cheers
PS. What does Oride mean?
The name Oride is of Greek origin and has a very specific meaning: it literally translates to "she who rises." It's often associated with people with great inner strength, and evokes courage, fortitude, and independence.

Typical cuisine, natural local wines, and a wide selection of their own-produced bitters.
What can I say... a must-see for anyone in Pietra Ligure!

Osteria Oride is an authentic, small place, perfect for a quiet evening of authentic Ligurian cuisine. The meticulously selected décor and friendly owner create a unique atmosphere. Dishes are prepared with attention to quality, and prices remain reasonable – lunch can be had for around €15-25. If you're looking for regional cuisine in a friendly atmosphere, this place is worth a visit.

I went to Osteria Oride in Pietra Ligure with my daughter. The restaurant is charming, and the service was friendly. Since the menu was only in Italian, we received a translation upon request, which was very helpful.
We ordered tagliatelle with basil, rosemary, and oregano – unfortunately, the flavor wasn't entirely convincing. The mixed fried fish was very tasty, but difficult to eat due to the many bones.
Overall, a nice visit, but the food didn't quite impress us.

When we asked about the homemade desserts, she listed at least 10 of them in good English and even brought out the homemade cake to explain 😅 Fine food, excellent service, great wine
