Beautiful beach, with an equipped part and a free one. Bars and restaurants on site. As with the whole island, finding parking is a bit problematic, but a refreshing swim will repay you for the effort. Diving school on site.

Magnificent place, just wonderfully clean, with lots of beautiful things to see while snorkeling or diving. There are also magnificent clubs, Crésus Sub or PADI. Small bars with very nice cocktails and a small supermarket with bread, water, and other items. Also, 2-3 hikes to stretch your legs and discover the region between the two villages. I recommend this simple corner of paradise, full of beautiful and wonderful things. To discover and admire.

Posizione eccezionale, proprio con affaccio sulla bella spiaggia Barbarossa, e lungo un interessantissimo percorso pedonale che consente da Porto Azzurro di camminare a piedi con vista mare visitando tutte le spiagge successive e la costa. Il locale è accogliente, con un tocco di modernità nonostante la posizione ‘balneare’ al servizio dunque anche dei bagnanti. Io lo utilizzo per una pausa pranzo velocissima. Forse la scelta infelice è stata la mia, di sedermi per un pasto veloce, poiché alla fine i piatti proposti sono tutti abbastanza impegnativi. Opto per una frittura di alici, indubbiamente buona ma a mio avviso troppo costosa in rapporto alla quantità (scarsa) del prodotto. Con una bottiglia d’acqua finisco per spendere oltre le 15 euro. Probabilmente consumando un pasto completo si otterrebbero maggiori soddisfazioni ma attenzione ai costi non sono a mio avviso da locale balneare alla buona ma da vero e proprio ristorante.

Small beach with sand and gravel in the water. To the right and left there are practicable and walkable rocks where you can sunbathe or eat. There are bars and restaurants a stone's throw away and it is 200 meters from the main road of Porto Azzurro.

19/05/2025: Delicious beer (craft and draft) from BOIA and gluten free canned beer from Balabiott. More importantly, amazing staff and we got to enjoy a local salsa verde make with Italian parsley.

30/07/2025: We ate there several times last year and were looking forward to enjoying the restaurant and its cuisine again this year. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed this year. The birthday surprise didn't work out, despite having been discussed and promised in advance by phone. Even discreetly asking about it that evening at the birthday dinner, the answer was, "Yeah, sure, no problem." Apparently, it was just the waiter... After the mistake, the waiter tried to salvage something. A candle was stuck in a scoop of ice cream... Wax was dripping... Wax in the ice cream... Delicious... Well, anyway. Besides, the food was better last year. New kitchen team? Something can go wrong, I have over 30 years of restaurant experience. But the chef ignored us the entire evening. All the other Italian guests were greeted, but not the "tourists." We gave the restaurant a second chance on the last evening of our vacation. Unfortunately, a few things went wrong during that visit as well. The food wasn't really good. Old, dried-out lemons with the fritto misto; I've had better there. The truffle pasta was okay. My partner was cold because it was very windy, so we asked for something to cover her shoulders, a shawl or something (they have a beach shop next door), or a tablecloth. The answer was no, it's not possible. We tried again with a different waiter, but it was okay; they handed us a tablecloth. Otherwise, service was very slow, and there were long waits. The manager was there again, but this time, no greeting for the tourists. What a shame for such a beautiful place. It had so much potential.
