Historic place in the center of Valmadrera, I used to come here as a kid for pizza parties with the soccer team. The management has changed but I am very pleased to see that the wood-fired oven has been maintained. We stopped for a quick lunch. Excellent service, friendly and not intrusive from the welcome to the end. Varied choice of appetizers, first and second courses of land, sea, a small vegetarian section and pizzas. I do not recommend it to those who are used to sophisticated and chic things. Simple place, family-run, with tasty dishes. I will return to try the pizza.

The dining room isn't very large, but it's well-maintained, clean, and bright. The lunch was good, with simple but well-seasoned pasta. The main course was tasty, though an extra slice of roast would have been nice. Overall, a positive review.

01/05/2025: Più che una recensione, un consiglio. Siamo stati davanti al rifugio per un ora, 40 persone in coda, tavoli 80% vuoti. Ma perché non riorganizzare l'accoglienza, fare sedere i clienti che nel frattempo consumano al posto di tenerli in coda ?
19/01/2025: Sono stata in questo rifugio diverse volte, l'ultima volta ho prenotato un tavolo per pranzo (consiglio vivamente di prenotare se si vuole avere la certezza di mangiare i piatti: ci sono due turni, uno alle 12/12.30 e uno alle 13.30) e sono venuta a mangiare qui con amici, dopo una camminata ai piani di nava partendo da Baiedo. I piatti erano molto buoni: gnocchi al gorgonzola e in particolare la polenta con lo stinco (morbidissimo). Anche i dolci ci sono piaciuti. I prezzi nella media attuale dei rifugi.

07/01/2026: I went yesterday afternoon for a snack. The welcome was okay, but a bit chaotic. The bioches had good fillings, though a bit crumbly. I sensed some discontent among the staff, or it could have been a coincidence. The price was normal.
