The restaurant is located just steps from the center of Aosta, near a parking lot. The decor is very traditional and tastefully done. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is very good, and they have a €32 menu that only excludes wine. The owner gave an excellent recommendation for the white wine. At the end of the meal, they also offer a very entertaining service, where they offer their high-proof drinks and put on a very entertaining show that I recommend not to miss if you visit the restaurant. Reservations are difficult as seating is limited, so I recommend calling ahead.

Excellent restaurant, friendly and fun staff. Recommended.
We had the carbonada and the grill, a cover charge and a Coke without wine, for €23 each. Great price and excellent food.

A truly characteristic place, excellent and plentiful food. Super friendly staff. You absolutely have to try their digestive liqueur.

An excellent place to eat typical Aosta Valley dishes. The service is good, and the place is quaint. The stew and bean soup is highly recommended—it's truly excellent. The grilled meat is a bit tough, but the quality of the ingredients is undeniably good. The quality/price ratio is reasonable. Four of us spent about €120, ordering two dishes each. The complimentary digestifs at the end of the meal are also a treat.

I went to La Vache Folle with high expectations, but in my personal experience, the food was good... but nothing exceptional. That's why I gave it 3 out of 5 stars. I think it's a place where you can enjoy a good dinner, but overall, it's not the first place I'd recommend to someone visiting and wanting to fully enjoy the flavors of the Aosta Valley.
