Osteria La Vache Folle In Aosta

We were on vacation in the Aosta Valley with my family and came to this restaurant for lunch. Inside, it looks very traditional. We ordered beef carbonada with polenta; the meat was tender and flavorful, and the polenta was truly delicious. We also had a fontina fondue served with steamed potatoes and larded croutons, which was also delicious. The only small flaw: there's no air conditioning, and since it's August, it was quite hot. 😅 But it was absolutely worth it, highly recommended! 😁

Very unusual restaurants and a beautiful mountain setting. The food is very good. A place to share, and I'll be back on my next visit to Aosta.

The restaurant is effectively a museum of the Aosta Valley's rural and artisanal traditions. Excellent cuisine at reasonable prices. It's very popular, a testament to the customer's appreciation.

A typical Aosta Valley atmosphere. In this restaurant, in particular, you'll find cowbells hanging everywhere, friendly waiters with countless braided beards, and a mouth-watering menu that will make you want to return year after year.

First time for us. The order was quick, the welcome was warm. The dishes were exquisite, as was the sauce. The génépi was truly delicious. The price was reasonable. We will be back with pleasure. Thank you for your welcome.

Arriviamo dalla Toscana, una piccola ricerca e il più vicino era appunto questa osteria. REGINA la prenotazione. Ambiente molto particolare, tipico, accogliente.. mura e personale. Partiamo con un antipasto misto salumi ed io un raviolo alla fonduta spolverati al pane nero, poi una grigliata mista con zucchine e patate mentre io verdure saltate con pomodorino piccante e polenta il tutto accompagnato dal vino nero della casa. OTTIMO TUTTO! Le carni, le lumache, e verdure sono di produzione propria, (le lumache vanno con le stagioni). Ah, anche un'ottima mousse al cioccolato A fine pasto ci offrono 3 digestivi aromatizzati al Tabacco, Ginepro e Assenzio rispettivamente di 28° 40° e 55° PAZZESCHI. Se non fosse che siamo,lontani, verremo qua più spesso. Complimenti!!

Abbiamo cenato in questo locale caratteristico per i centinaia di campanacci appesi. A pochi minuti dalla via pedonale del centro è un' ottima soluzione per mangiare della buona carne dei loro allevamenti. Abbiamo assaggiato anche una fantastica polenta e un delizioso dolce....dopodiché se finisci gli ottimi amari ti aspetta la sorpresa...e il divertimento è assicurato!
