Osteria La Porta del Chianti In Impruneta

Simply amazing local cuisine! Incredible flavors and very unassuming, quaint location. We got the gnocchi with Chianti pesto (delicious) and steak with portobello (exquisite!) Highly recommend.

We stopped in at this old-fashioned osteria by chance, passing through during lunchtime. We ordered two dishes of the day: a pappardella with venison and a white ragù with porcini mushrooms, both very delicious.

We stumbled upon it by chance on a Monday for lunch. The menu items are all good and locally sourced. The food was excellent, and the service was prompt and courteous. If we're ever in the area, we'll definitely stop by.

An extraordinary experience... family atmosphere, traditional Tuscan cuisine, welcoming staff. A must for anyone passing through. The peposo is fantastic... their focaccia alone is worth the trip!

The food was absolutely delicious! I had the pasta with ragu bianco and porcini mushrooms. The tiramisu was amazing! So kind in helping us order and giving us some wonderful memories during our trip. We hope to visit again one day!

Felt like I was at my Italian grandma’s kitchen. The menu was entirely in Italian, but the servers were incredibly helpful in guiding us through it. I had the brick oven grilled chicken—moist, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My wife ordered the tagliatelle with meat sauce, which was rich and delicious. We started with the charcuterie board, loaded with fresh meats and cheeses—absolutely fantastic. The owner even brought us a special “holy wine” her father made, which paired beautifully with the tiramisu served in a mason jar. Such a thoughtful and memorable touch. Prices were very reasonable—actually less expensive than most of the other places we visited. The only downside was the parking. There’s an open lot across the street from the restaurant, but the walk from there involves navigating a narrow curb partially in the street. Just be cautious—Italian drivers don’t exactly take it slow!
