Experience beyond expectations! The place is located in transit, going towards the center of Siena. Evocative at first glance, overlooking a street among the small medieval villages of Siena, I must admit that it was a wonderful discovery! The menu was promising from a first reading (blackboard on display at the beginning of the descent), even more so once we tried the dishes! At dinner we had a platter of Cinta Senese cured meats, worthy! Tasty cured meats served in the right quantity, accompanied by bread and local oil. We then continued with a Florentine steak (strictly rare!) served on a hot stone cutting board, it was still sizzling upon arrival. The next day we returned for lunch to try the pici, I highly recommend the ones with garlic flowers, pancetta and cherry tomatoes (they are the ones in the photo). Like sweet homemade tiramisu! Fabulous!!! I also recommend trying the local bitters! The service was impeccable, the staff very friendly, smiling and available for any request; we will definitely be back! We had such a good time at this Osteria that we returned two nights in a row. Truly excellent typical Tuscan food prepared by a team of spirited, competent and passionate guys. In particular we cannot fail to thank the very kind Enrique who looked after us with great courtesy and kindness both evenings. The place is very characteristic and you really feel at home. Went here because we like to go off the main tourist areas. Firstly the outside area is on the hill. It did get uncomfortable at times especially when you’re trying to eat. We had a board of meats first of all really nice because it was different to the normal cured meats. Then the main dishes came, now I like my pasta la dente but this was very La dente to the point of it being uncooked at times. Disappointing because the sauces were lovely.

Great taste experience during a day visit to Siena. Coming from France, we were looking for a place to eat in a qualitative way that reflects Italian gastronomy. With homemade pasta and very well served we were served. Everything was perfect from the food to the plate to the service (where we could speak French) to the calm and pleasant atmosphere. Thank you a thousand times for introducing us to the flavors of Italy through your know-how.
