Osteria in Caltabellotta very nice also as a location. Simple and characteristic decor, a clever combination of the ancient and the modern. Sunday lunch, for two people, with appetizer and two meat second courses. A bottle of wine from Sicilian cellars and one of water. Punctual and attentive service. Veal with honey wax and good side dish. Rich appetizer and well served. Lamb chops with chard and walnuts (the last 2 ingredients were missing from the dish) and yogurt, unfortunately disappointing. Dry and with very little recoverable meat. We pointed it out and they gave us the dessert for free. Price a bit excessive. 100 euros. Can be improved

My Italian boyfriend planned a trip to Caltabellotta, which I had been wanting to visit. During a walk, I found this restaurant searching the internet, so we went in to make a reservation for dinner. The female staff member who served us was very kind and recommended the course meal and showed us the menu. She even prepared a seat for us to look at the menu. We were really looking forward to dinner time. The food, the wine, the staff, the chef, everything was perfect and wonderful. The caponata we had first was the best I have ever eaten, and the dishes that came out one after another were also superb. The portions were so large that I could hardly eat any of the main course, and I felt very sorry, but the staff wrapped it up for me so I could take it home. I really appreciate it. It is not easy for me as a Japanese person to visit this city, but I would like to return for this restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful food and time. I will definitely recommend it to everyone.
