We were able to find a seat indoors. If possible, book a terrace view. Tables inside are very close together. The food is delicious. The staff is polite.

I hope nothing will ever change the feeling of this rooftop trattoria — competent and Florentine staff. They are flexible, easy to work with, and the kitchen is consistent. Bravi tutti. (For the life of me I cannot understand the bad reviews.. it’s literally NOTHING I’ve experienced here, and I’ve been coming for years!)

Right inside the hotel, take the elevator leading to the 5th floor and the terrace. If you are lucky, or have booked in advance, you can have your meal on the terrace, or they do have a room indoors, which is perfect if the weather is a bit too aggressive for your liking. The food is delicious and the ravioli willed with cheese are the highlight of the meal. The drink list boasts a large selection, so you will not get thirsty. You can go there in a hearbeat, it's a lovely restaurant

This is my second time to this restaurant and it impressed me once again. The menu has good variety and I had the green pepper fillet steak. It was honestly one of the best fillet steaks I've ever had. The service is very attentive and welcoming, and they understood English which of course is a plus. I would definitely come again.

Este restaurante se encuentra en la parte superior del hotel The Hermitage. La decoración en el salón del hotel (4a planta) es cómoda y lujosa. Tienes que tomar el ascensor (o escaleras) al 5o piso. Debido al mal tiempo no pudimos sentarnos fuera, pero estábamos sentados en una zona agradable y acogedora. Me encantó la música relajante. El personal era amable y profesional. La comida era buena. Pedimos un primer plato para compartir que no llegó y nuestro principal fue primero, preguntamos dónde estaba y lo compraron después. El pan estaba rancio y no era comestible, pero nos cobraron un «cargo de cobertura» de 8 euros. Solo hay un aseo en el restaurante y era imposible entrar allí ya que había una cola constante por lo que tuve que localizar otro en el cuarto piso al salir. Tomamos un entrante, dos pastas de trufa, una espinaca y una copa de vino y la factura fue de 100 euros. En general fue una noche muy agradable y la ubicación es preciosa.

Antica Trattoria Sanesi

19/05/2025: Ho cenato in questo posto da sola e mi sono trovata benissimo. Il ristorante è in una zona a traffico limitato con pochi parcheggi, ma poco prima della ZTL ci sono molte zone dove parcheggiare. AMBIENTE : ristorante che sa di vera trattoria, semplice ma molto pulito. Zona d'ingresso con il bancone e la cassa e poi si accede all'ampia sala con molti tavolini adeguatamente distanziati. La cucina non è a vista ma si intravede dalla sala da pranzo. Nonostante questo non c'è odore di mangiare in sale. In un angolo, ben distante dai tavoli, c'è il bagno, anch'esso pulito. SERVIZIO : il personale è stato gentilissimo. CIBO: essendo sola non ho fatto grandi assaggi, ma la ribollita era fantastica!!! Ed il filetto con le patate cotto al punto giusto, al sangue, senza che la parte interna fosse fredda. Assolutamente soddisfatta !!!prima di uscire ho fatto i complimenti in cucina. RAPPORTO QUALITA' PREZZO : assolutamente ottimo GIUDIZIO COMPLESSIVO : Ci tornerei oggi stesso. Forse non ci farei un banchetto nuziale, ma una cena aziendale sì (ovviamente se non si lavora per una grande maison)
17/05/2025: Sanesi può definirsi la trattoria dove si mangiano i piatti della tradizione toscana, almeno della tradizione moderna, del '900. Pappa al pomodoro fatta con pomodori e non con passata, crostini di fegatini sfumati con il vin santo e poi, quella carne di manzo... Il vino va scelto quello della casa, obbligatoriamente servito nel fiasco, un ottimo nero di Montespertoli; il servizio è quello che ci si aspetta in una trattoria, diretto, non informale ed il prezzo, pur leggermente superiore alla media, è adeguato alla qualità di quanto si mangia. Un'esperienza da fare e da ripetere specialmente in questa stagione quando si gode dello spazio all'aperto, lungo le mura di Lastra a Signa

17/07/2025: Our stay here was the perfect start to our Italy trip. We were warmly welcomed by Salina, the friendly concierge, who patiently answered all our (many) questions—this was our first time traveling to Italy. She brought us extra hangers and ice, helped us find a place to eat, and even made us dinner reservations. We stayed in Room #1, which was spacious enough for our luggage and had a large hutch for hanging clothes. The shower was small—expected for Italy—but the water pressure was gloriously strong. The AC worked well, and a large window opened up to let in the fresh country air. Matteo, the owner, was our point of contact before the trip and was very attentive to our needs, although we didn’t get to meet him in person. Breakfast each morning was plentiful: meats, breads, yogurt, and delicious cappuccinos. Paulo was also on hand during our stay and was very friendly and helpful. The views from the patio were stunning—overlooking the countryside and the city center. We had dinner in the street-side courtyard, and the atmosphere was unforgettable. Our server, Alicia, was friendly and funny, especially once we settled in and got chatting. The food was both delicious and generous in portion. Impruneta felt like a peaceful countryside village. There’s not a ton to do in town, but there’s enough variety for food and drinks. We explored Florence (30 minutes north), Pisa (1.2 hours west), and San Gimignano and Greve (about 1 hour south). We stayed for 4 nights, which felt just right for both the hotel and the area. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to escape the heavy tourist areas—we were among the only Americans in the village. I suspect that will change as we head next to the Amalfi Coast!
