Enter the Hermitage Hotel and take the incredibly narrow elevator up. Since we didn't have a reservation, they gave us a corner seat, but it was still incredibly crowded. The servers weren't rude or friendly. If being racist is the definition of kindness, they were. Europeans, especially Italians, are known for their street snobbery, smoking cigarettes on the street from morning till night. Even though this was a rooftop restaurant, I smoked in a corner and no one stopped me. Anyway, the food wasn't anything special, except for the cheesecake. But the cheesecake was truly innovative, like the japchae. It proved that all the cheesecakes I've had up until now were fake. I really, really, really don't need anything else; one cheesecake per person is enough to satisfy me. (Things like the truffle pasta were all bland.)

Great fresh produce and dishes. I overheard another table talking about the cheesecake, so ordered it and I'm glad I did. I've never had a cheesecake like it and I polished it off, no matter how full I was.

Beautiful place with a stunning view. Good food. We had a few issues opening/closing the curtains. It was a bit hot and the space was cramped.

Fantastic authentic Florentine experience, a hidden gem in the heart of Florence. The fresh pasta was perfectly al dente and the bistecca was soft, salty and perfectly cooked. The restaurant specialises in truffle (black and white) in the winter and generally serves meals per the seasons. The wait staff were super kind, attentive and light heartedly fun. Highly recommend.

The atmosphere here is truly lovely and the lighting creates a very romantic vibe. The staff was also quite welcoming and polite from the moment we walked in. However, the food was a bit of a letdown. I ordered the meat dish, and unfortunately, it arrived cold and had a very chewy, almost 'rubbery' texture. It really lacked flavor. I mentioned this to the waiter and he was apologetic, but that was about it. My partner's pasta was also just average-it was okay, but definitely not a 'wow' experience. Also, serving the bread inside a paper bag felt a bit unnecessary and a bit too 'fanciful' for my taste-I'd prefer a more natural presentation. Given the reputation and the setting, we expected much more from the kitchen. Three stars mostly for the service and the beautiful ambiance.

Everything is delicious, and if you're looking for truffles, this is the perfect place. You absolutely can't miss the cheesecake... it's truly amazing.
