We have known this award-winning restaurant for many years and we had a good time this time too. The menu is seasonal and always changes with a lot of imagination from the cook. Cellar with excellent wines from the area famous for its cellars. Very polite service

Nel corso degli anni sono venuto molte volte in questa magica osteria e credo di aver condiviso qualche recensione... Non mi dilungo a tessere le lodi di Pompeo e consorte, mi limito a fare loro i complimenti perché gli anni passano ma la loro professionalità e la qualità dei cibi è sempre altissima!!

I consumed all the appetizers (6 very tasty courses) and the 3 very INTERESTING first courses. I have rebooked for the end of May to be able to taste the second courses and possibly the desserts. I forgot the wine... it is worth trying. Finally, I want to applaud Pompeo and his wife for their skill, professionalism and FRIENDLINESS.

Warm and characteristic atmosphere, small but with well-spaced tables. The appetizer consists of eight courses that vary from time to time depending on the season (today, for example: local ham, ricotta and black cabbage flan with red turnip julienne, asparagus crepes, baskets of cannellini beans, pumpkin and chicory, stuffed artichokes, grated potatoes stuffed with cabbage and mortadella with sheep's blue cheese fondue, lamb meatballs with Jerusalem artichoke cream and puntarelle, pork rolls stuffed with radicchio and smoked ham with orange cream. Then follows a choice of three first courses and three second courses (if you want you can have samples of two or three dishes). I saw the desserts pass by, inviting, but I couldn't make it. Then water, half a liter of Cesanese, coffee and house liqueurs (offered). All for 40 euros per person. It's well worth the trip from Rome, but book well in advance! The owners are very kind, yes they alternate both at the stove and in the dining room, explaining the courses in detail and making you feel at home.

Ambiente caldo e caratteristico, piccolo ma con tavoli ben distanziati. L'antipasto si compone di otto portate che variano di volta in volta a seconda della stagionalità (oggi, ad esempio: prosciutto locale, sformatino di ricotta e cavolo nero con julienne di rapa rossa, crespelle agli asparagi, cestini di cannellini zucca e cicoria, carciofi ripieni, patate grattugiate ripiene di verza e mortadella con fonduta di erborinato di pecora, polpettine di agnello con crema di topinambur e puntarelle, involtini di maiale ripieni di radicchio e prosciutto affumicato con crema all'arancia. Segue poi una scelta di tre primi e tre secondi (volendo si possono avere assaggini di due o tre pietanze). I dolci li ho visti passare, invitanti, ma non ce l'ho fatta. Poi acqua, mezzo litro di cesanese, caffè e liquori della casa (offerti). Il tutto per 40 euro a persona. Vale alla grande il viaggio da Roma, ma prenotate con largo anticipo! I proprietari sono gentilissimi, si alternano sia ai fornelli che in sala illustrando dettagliatamente le portate, e facendoti sentire uno di casa.

So, inside a tiny old-time venue, a maximum of twenty customers can sit. You will enjoy excellent home cooking, the result of the Innkeeper's daily purchases. All very simple but also very good. The offer of bottled wines, all local, is more than sufficient. Their loose ones are also excellent. Simple, friendly and effective service. It is a very successful place, book well in advance.

Excellent lunch for three today, they are very kind and cook all the special things very well. They offered us 7 tastings of appetizers, each more delicious than the other. Then 3 tastings of first courses and 3 second courses of meat, all delicious, in the end it is a truly filling meal. Finally, 3 desserts to choose from or always have a taste of all three, the bitters (gentian, liquorice and sour cherries) and the coffee made with the mocha. Ah, the bread they make is delicious, passed with flying colors!!

Caffe' del Teatro

09/05/2025: Last year I tried a slice of the Black Forest cake, and I still think about it, it was really delicious. I will return to Fiuggi for this lovely place
07/05/2025: It’s located in old town on top of the hill amazing location beautiful view very old café the design is amazing. It’s like an al theatre Opera house there are lots of opera books. There is even one signed by Puccini with his handwriting. Their home-made cakes are amazing. There is one without milk with nuts hazelnuts it’s excellent coffee is really lovely and quite reasonably priced menu. Lovely staff members also.
