Do you want to enter a bubble where time acquires another value? This is the right place. Small place but with attention to detail (tablecloths, plates, cups all with the same motif!) The cuisine is a caress on the palate, with simple ingredients but with flavors expertly combined with each other. Between the starters (6 courses!), the first courses, the second courses, the wine, the dessert, the coffee and the liqueurs, time passes and being together becomes the protagonist. If you are in a hurry this is not your place! And then the owners are... I won't tell you, go and meet them! 10 and praise

This place was a great find. The atmosphere of the place is characteristic and the service is truly kind and friendly. The food is also excellent, with a daily menu and interesting proposals. The truly honest prices don't hurt either!

A riot of flavors and colors that thrilled us. I admit that we were a little sceptical, the main thing was that the plating was certainly not sophisticated, but the flavor of the products combined in the dishes was amazing. Work in the room by the two owners is extremely attentive and relaxing with a lot of professionalism. I will return as often as I can. Compliments !

We have known this award-winning restaurant for many years and we had a good time this time too. The menu is seasonal and always changes with a lot of imagination from the cook. Cellar with excellent wines from the area famous for its cellars. Very polite service

Wonderful place, nestled in an alley of an ancient hamlet in the heart of Ciociaria Sincere and with great attention to detail. Nothing is left to chance, the appearance of a "good-style" tavern reveals refined, seasonal cuisine. The owners make the experience even more complete, describing the dishes to perfection and giving diners a story made of dedication and imagination. Very honest prices. We love you.

They are good Pompeo, kind and professional, his lady ditto, simple in their welcoming way and then you eat well, you will be satisfied just with their delicious stuffed bread, many samples of appetizers, one tastier than the other, all good, I really recommend it, I go there often.. ...book but the place is small and you risk not finding it

If not the best restaurant I know - I don't think you can choose just one - certainly the one I like to return to, at least a couple of times a year. The atmosphere of the fairy alley is magical and every time it is like feeling at home: when you enter the intimate and welcoming restaurant you move into a bubble in which the hands move more slowly and you immediately perceive the love and passion that Pompeo - an innkeeper from times gone by - and his wife dedicate themselves to their profession. The question of choosing the menu is very simple and wisely illustrated by Pompeo: tasting of starters (minimum 7 courses, I would say compulsory), three first courses, three second courses and three desserts, to be chosen individually or, these too, as a trio of tastings for each scope. Traditional and revisited recipes that change seasonally with attention to the raw materials and the territory, as well as the wines - mostly Cesanesi del Piglio. The prices are more than honest, never paid more than 35-40 euros each even with a couple of bottles of wine.

La Locanda del Ditirambo

20/01/2025: An Inn that is a jewel; and it seems normal that certain jewels are not found on the street, you have to deserve them. Catering is a strange exercise: the customer pays for a service and evaluates what he has received in exchange for money. The Locanda del Ditirambo is one of the rare places, rare even in Ciociaria, where not only this is offered, where not only work but also passion is brought into play, where you feel the people inside the things, and the effort becomes pleasure, luxury. Of course, nothing is perfect, but everything has a different meaning for the customer when it is understood that on the other hand they want at all costs, with stubbornness, to improve things, and perhaps improve an already good product, go further, and then even what seem like small imperfections become a necessary part of beauty, not only because they make it domestic and affable. Here, let's talk about the menu, quite small (which is almost always a guarantee of a job done in-house and done well); but first of all I would like to talk about the bread, which the chef prepares himself, delicious. Then, without being linear, I'm surprised by the desserts, which you won't find in any other restaurant, because they don't come from a van, from a factory, from a pastry shop, but from these four walls: what a spectacle! What a spectacle a chef who breaks his head to bring you his own desserts at the end of the meal, and makes them as God commands! The trio of starters imposes itself as a must, with the potato pie as the prince, a great invention; then the meat second courses, with the excellent pork neck with smoky and sweet and sour notes, and a traditional bufaletta (Ciociaria buffalo stew) among the best I have ever tasted. I will return, yes of course, and I will return for the first courses, which I have not tasted; and for the cellar, which seems really well stocked. It is a place where, unless you are very dense, you return: a place of the heart.
