We stumbled into this amazing little gem hidden down a small side street last spring. Had been trying to remember where it was since, finally found it by looking at Google map. Unfussy and amazing food. Sat outside in the beautiful sunshine eating ravioli and amatriciana. It was artichoke season so of course had to have some of that. A true Roman dream. Reason for review is also so I can have a way of remembering where to return to on the next trip.
I came to this restaurant for an aperitif! Great place, very intimate, cozy and quiet! It was so comfortable - beyond words ☺️ But the plus to this was also incredibly delicious food! The mozzarella is the freshest, the cold cuts are the most delicious, the wine is excellent! Overall, I definitely recommend this restaurant!!! ☺️👍🏼

Wonderful dishes, typical Roman cuisine.
Very nice place and excellent service. Strategic location for a tour in the center of Rome. Highly recommended for everything.

Personale simpatico, accogliente e preparato.
La carbonara è esattamente come dei piemontesi se la immaginano a Roma, ma anche la pasta fagioli e cozze ti fa entrare nella romanità totale.

Very enjoyable place near piazza Navona with a real authentic Roman waiter who has been a great entertainment last night. Andrea was really friendly, very service oriented, flexible, fun and entertaining. Food was nice but I would go back to the Osteria del Gallo more for the cosy street and nice indoor atmosphere, and for having another chance to interact with Andrea.

We was researching small authentic restaurant, and we found this one.
Good, tasty food, unfortunately not normally small size of the lasagna, served in the tiny bol....
On my comentrabout the size of lasagna, the waiter told me that it was the same quantity of food that on the plate of pasta that my husband took.... Strange way to try find argument to explain it.
It's a shame because all food was tasty.
So even if I took tiramisou after, I went out still hungry...

Lovely restaurant, high quality food and friendly, professional service.
Welcoming and quiet environment, far from the confusion, despite being just a few meters between Piazza Navona and Via dei Coronari.
Very fair price, absolutely recommended
