Osteria degli Spiriti In Lecce

This was my first time at this restaurant for dinner, and I brought some friends and locals to this simple, yet charming, historic place. We ordered a sampling of various appetizers, typical of southern Puglia, the traditional home-style cuisine of Salento, from octopus with burrata to burrata with sardines, and other appetizers, all delicious, flavorful, and very inviting. Then we had a first course of orecchiette and a type of pasta similar to elongated trofie with mini meatballs in tomato sauce—an excellent dish for connoisseurs of Puglian cuisine. Then we had a puree of broad beans with chicory. We drank a very good Puglian rosé. The place has an excellent large cellar of local and national wines. The young staff who served us was very knowledgeable and courteous. Highly recommended for connoisseurs of the cuisine of this wonderful Italy, in every region the true richness of this nation. An elegant yet warm and welcoming restaurant. Gianmarco is an excellent, highly knowledgeable host. There were 8 of us (a long-lost reunion with friends). The service was impeccable, and the food was truly well-cooked, using top-quality ingredients. The restaurant's real gem is the wine cellar! The wine list is truly excellent! We'll definitely be back! So far, it's my favorite restaurant in central Lecce.

One our favorite higher end restaurants. Ideal for special occasions. My wife took me there recently for my birthday and the food was outstanding. Sometimes it’s difficult to get a reservation because they don’t have online reservation system.

Excellent food, friendly service, but truly exorbitant prices. Eight diners ordered tagliolini with white truffle, which cost a total of €880. Thirteen of us spent a total of €1,495 (discounted from the original price). What a shame.

We stumbled upon this place by chance, drawn in by the beautiful sign. Well, we were right to go in because we ate some delicious pizzas. The place is very quiet, well-kept, and the staff are helpful. The garden, on a late October evening, is enchanting, framed by citrus trees. I would gladly return.

A lovely, quiet place despite its central location. Spacious rooms and large tables create a friendly, quiet atmosphere. The dishes have a typical Salento flavor, but they lack that something that would make them worthy of five stars.
