I've always heard about it and finally, for my husband's birthday we took the opportunity to go. The staff is very courteous, available to explain the various cuts of meat there are. The food is really good and the meat is cooked on the fireplace in the room. We tried the bigoli with duck ragù, the ribeye, the cooked vegetables and the inevitable "a secce" tiramisu, all really excellent! I recommend it if you are in the area!

Osteria dal nonno in Legnaro in the province of Padua is an excellent quality restaurant. Courteous and helpful staff. Clean, well-kept and welcoming environment. Nice and homely menu with some gems, really good meat cooked in the fireplace in front of the public. Large and convenient parking. Clean and well-kept bathrooms. Prices perhaps a little higher than the competition. Pleasant experience and worth repeating.

🌱I returned to Osteria dal Nonno after years with my friends for our Christmas dinner, and it was a truly satisfying experience. Although it wasn't my first time going, this was my first visit as a vegetarian, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Not only were there several vegetarian options, but they were also really tasty! 🍽️One dish above all: burrata with double breading, simply delicious. The tagliatelle with tuna sauce, walnuts and mushrooms were another very pleasant discovery. The friends who ordered meat were also very satisfied. We accompanied dinner with an excellent wine, which perfectly enhanced the flavors of the dishes. 👍🏻We ended on a high note with the desserts, and how could we not have their tiramisu « a seci »? It always remains a certainty! We paid around 44 euros each, a decidedly adequate price for the quality and quantity of the dishes. I highly recommend it, even to non-carnivores.

Wide assortment of delicious meat in a rustic and welcoming environment. The lemon sorbet is also excellent!

Excellent venue. Quick working lunch. Excellent food and equally excellent choice of wines. Price normal. Highly recommended.

Two observations: 1. noisy environment if crowded, to the point of not being able to converse with other diners (it would be useful to use sound-absorbing coverings). 2. The wines on the list are outrageously expensive. Excellent cuisine, good service.

It is not the first time that we have dinner at our grandfather's tavern, and every time we are in the area we are always happy to return; the environment is welcoming and pleasant, the staff and owners are friendly and professional, the quality of the food is excellent. We will definitely stop for dinner every time we are in the area: see you next time!
