In less than 24 hours in Imperia, my friend and I stumbled upon this restaurant for lunch, a little skeptical because it looked like a typical touristy spot on the beach, but it wasn't. It was touristy, yes, even though it was October, but still with super-fair prices, a very varied à la carte menu, and the option of choosing from a variety of combination dishes. We opted for the fish menu for convenience, which, given the quantity and quality of the products offered, many other restaurants (here in the north) would have beaten. It's a very nice and family-friendly place; the only downside for some people might be the somewhat noisy atmosphere, the presence of pigeons, and insects, which unfortunately can't be helped.
I'll definitely return next time I'm in Imperia, perhaps trying a different type of dish.

The place has a sea view and is very welcoming. We ate outside. The dishes were very good and carefully prepared. We also had the mille-feuille (recommended by friends who have been there before), which was very good. The service is a 3 out of 5 because they threw the menu on the table for us, as well as the dessert menu.

A very nice restaurant right on the old marina in Imperia (Oneglia). The two of us were there for dinner without a reservation and received a very warm welcome. We were offered a seat outside. A very lovely and inviting ambiance awaits you both inside and out. Not too loud, cozy, romantic, and elegant. Everything is clean and tidy. Outside, you sit under large, bright umbrellas surrounded by trellises with plants. There are small lamps with dim lighting on the tables. The menu is straightforward, which we like! The wine list is very extensive. We received very friendly and prompt service. They asked if everything was OK and if it tasted good. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. We ordered water, Aperol Spritz, Frittura Mista, and Tiramisu. A large basket of bread was placed on the table at the beginning. You could taste the high-quality ingredients used, and the garlic mayonnaise was homemade. The food was fantastic. The prices are absolutely reasonable! I can't understand some of the negative reviews at all!!! We would have even paid more for what we were offered, and neither the chef nor the waiters were unfriendly. Quite the opposite! That's why we also gave an extra tip in addition to the usual 10%. We would normally have paid €77 for everything, but we gave €80. If we ever travel to Imperia again, we will visit this restaurant again and will definitely recommend it. Our only criticism is that the main course could have been a bit warmer, but maybe that's the way it's meant to be?
Thank you for the lovely, enjoyable evening at Osteria da Bea. Take a look at the pictures. I think they say more than a thousand words.

I eat at this restaurant often. The owner is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the food is AMAZING! My favorite dish is seafood spaghetti, but the lemon tart is the best in Europe! Highly recommended!

SUNDAY LUNCH
Sunday lunch with my daughter. We decide to stay in the area and eat at Bea, a restaurant on the Oneglia harbor masterfully managed by owner Giuseppe. We sit inside.
A bottle of water and a glass of sparkling wine, an Alta Langa DOCG Extra Brut from Azienda Agricola Marziano Abbona – Dogliani (CN). Excellent. A basket with their own bread and focaccia. Very inviting.
We start with a couple of appetizers. A portion of Brandacujun and, off-menu, a plate of breaded fried anchovies. An excellent branda that fully respects Ligurian tradition, garnished with pine nuts and Taggiasca olives. And then a dozen fried anchovies, served open, with a perfect breading, light and flavorful.
We continue with two first courses. We choose cavatelli with artichokes and squid. Pasta ignorante, just the way I like it, lightly smothered in tomato sauce, with a generous helping of calamari and artichokes that flavor everything. Very good. And finally, gnocchi with clams and bottarga. Another excellent dish with a distinct, delicious seafood flavor.
We couldn't end our lunch without trying one of the desserts offered, especially prepared by Giuseppe himself. We chose to share a single portion of one of my favorites, the Lemon Tart. A wonderful tart with a shortcrust pastry balanced in flavor and texture, filled with a lemon-infused custard—the real drawcard of this dessert—served with a generous dollop of homemade cream.
Just one coffee and then the bill. The total cost was €70. A fair price/quality ratio and top-notch quality of the ingredients. Welcoming service in a family atmosphere.

Excellent restaurant on the harbor. Very good, refined local cuisine. It's a shame the owner is a bit cold, otherwise everything was perfect.

Delicious food! This was, if not, the best restaurant we visited during our two-week vacation in Imperia and the surrounding area! Very accommodating hosts!
