Osteria serving traditional cuisine. Good food, fast service. Appetizer of cured meats and cotechino with brovada, beans, spring onions, and giardiniera. Second course: choice of cod, donkey stew, sliced beef, tripe, or refrigerated. Side dishes: baked potatoes and spinach. They don't serve first courses. Good, worth a try.

A classic Friulian osteria: a family atmosphere, no frills, perhaps a little basic... but those are the places I like. The girls serving are very friendly and professional. But let's get to the heart of the review... the food! I came here for dinner because I'd heard about the spectacular Vicenza-style cod, and I have to say it's probably the best I've had in recent years... truly phenomenal!
I later returned and tried both the muset with brovada and the muss stew... both were truly excellent!

Simple, good food, unpretentious home cooking. The prices are definitely too high. For an appetizer of cured meats and pickles, Vicenza-style cod, a little house wine, a side dish, and coffee, I paid €34.50. I won't be returning.

In the secluded Pordenone countryside near the Tagliamento River, lies a lively and popular (for lunch and dinner) hub for lovers of traditional rural cuisine. The focus is on meats, from mussels to tripe, mule, and cod, prepared with great attention to flavor and digestibility. Everything is delicious. The side dishes are spectacular: extraordinary beans all'uccelletto, cooked vegetables, and onions, both fresh and cooked. The horseradish pairs perfectly with everything. The red wine is perfect. It doesn't end there: biscuits and various desserts round out the meal (while waiting or paired with slivovitz and all kinds of liqueurs). Prices are fair. The staff are friendly and fast. A place frozen in time (from the 1960s), where you can immerse yourself in that atmosphere while still maintaining the same level of care and cleanliness.
