The setting and food are really good but our youngish waiter was really bad. He forgot our wine. He didn’t give us bread and largely ignored us. When I asked what happened to the bread which was included in the cover charge he said you got a seat and table and dismissed me. The older waiter seemed much better.

I had my very first Fiorentina-style steak 🥩 here, right in the heart of the medieval city of Siena 🏰. Even after months, I can still remember the taste: juicy, bloody, soft, and perfectly fresh. The Tuscan wine 🍷 paired with it so well that together they truly felt like heaven ✨.
That night was unforgettable. The atmosphere of Siena, the amazing food, and the wine made it one of those rare experiences you wish you could relive again and again.
I can’t fully describe the feeling this city and this restaurant gave me, but it will always stay in my memory. Definitely recommended, and I truly hope to return to Siena — and to this place — one day ❤️

Excellent seafood lunch, exceptional raw and cooked appetizers. A couple of perfect first courses and crispy, non-greasy fried fish.
Excellent wines to accompany the meal, and homemade desserts that would make us lose our minds.
Reluctantly, only 5 stars; it would be at least double.

Osteria Castelvecchio is a little gem in the heart of Siena. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, perfect for feeling pampered. The service is impeccable: the young, always smiling waiters immediately put you at ease with their kindness and helpfulness. The food is exceptional, with dishes prepared with great care. The meat is truly exquisite, but the dish that won me over was the tagliolini with truffle: simply unforgettable! Every time I return to Siena, I can't help but come here, because it's an experience that combines excellent food, a family atmosphere, and so much passion. Highly recommended!
