Surreal situation. Teddy is an indefinable artistic genius improvising his myth.

Eccentric place, unique and very pleasant of its kind, even if not for everyone. Part of the -very- good old fashioned tavern, part chaotic open-air (and closed) art exhibition, part boudoir for performers. Cuisine with aromas first and then with comfortable and familiar flavours. I believe (I was someone else's guest) also with more than comfortable prices.

Not the usual place to eat, different from restaurants or trattorias seen and reviewed. You eat and drink very well. Then the owner and lady are two truly special people. We had a great time.

Non il solito posto dove mangiare,diverso da ristoranti o trattorie visti e rivisti. Si mangia e si beve benissimo . Poi il titolare e signora due persone davvero speciali. Noi siamo stati benissimo.

At the Brikke house, food is a serious matter. Brikkè is the stage name of Teddy Puja, the owner of this location a little outside the eternal city but easily reachable by motorway from the capital. Just reach the Castel Madama junction and you're done. In addition to being a cook and a great researcher of raw materials and an interpreter of the peasant dishes of the Roman and southern tradition like few others, Teddy, a generous and hospitable host, is a painter, musician and now also a writer. He recently published a book for the 'deiMerangoli' editions entitled 'Q.B. to howl at the moon'. Worth the read. Spending an evening in this tavern, almost a Home restaurant, reconciles with the soul and predisposes to sociality and conversation. And if there are special requests, Brikke will take care of it
