Location chosen thanks to reviews on the internet. Never was a more appropriate choice than this one. Excellent welcome in the room, without a reservation, we sat down and immediately some carasau bread and water were brought to us. We opted for 3 dishes off the menu of the day:
-Tagliolini with melted butter and truffle
-Tagliolini with friarelli pesto and Sardinian flower
-Sheep in sauce with peas
Furthermore, a portion of broad beans was taken from the à la carte menu.
Half a liter of super good and recommended house wine.
As for the first courses, we were advised to try the Tagliolino with melted butter and truffle first and then the other one. Indeed, an excellent indication as the tagliolini with pesto was very intense in flavour. Both perfect, excellent cooking and excellent seasoning. The sheep in sauce with peas made me feel at home, authentic and genuine flavours. Exquisite. I personally didn't eat the broad beans as I'm a fabian, but my partner appreciated it 100%.

I'd say it was a great choice, considering we weren't local and relied completely on reviews. If there is an opportunity we will definitely return and I recommend it to anyone passing through Gavoi to stop and eat.
The portions of the first courses in the photo are not for one person, but from one portion we tasted both. I would say that the portion for one person is quite rich and satisfying.
The à la carte menu had a lot of choice, different from the usual restaurants; Furthermore, I can confidently say that you have the opportunity to really eat traditional Sardinian dishes revisited in a modern way.
The person who welcomed us and served us throughout the entire lunch was very kind, friendly and professional.

We consumed two excellent quality land appetizers, a first with deer ragout and a second with wild boar stewed with pears. All accompanied by abundant carasau bread and an excellent house wine. All very good. The bill wasn't cheap for what we ordered but it was still all of high quality so I would recommend it.

Beautiful reality in the village of Gavoi, the place offers around thirty seats, the owner is very friendly and will immediately put you at ease...
The culinary offer is certainly interesting starting with the house appetizer, which I highly recommend.
Traditional first courses with some gems off the menu, as for the second courses, both the donkey and fallow deer stew are excellent, something about the desserts didn't convince me.
The selection of wines is good, but in particular a note of merit goes to the house wine.
Overall an excellent experience for anyone passing through Gavoi!

Come ogni anno tappa fissa a Gavoi una perla nel Gennargentu, e tappa fissa da Rossano trattoria Borello a Gavoi.
Antipasti spettacolari la fonduta di pecorino una bontà e il porcetto che ogni anno chiediamo fantastico cotenna croccante che si scioglie in bocca.
