A nice place but above all very clean. Food The STEAK as it should be done to the rules of art, perfect in every way!!!!!! Side dishes Excellent grilled porcini mushroom and the classic bean perfect too. A good honest and not very demanding Chianti. It has a very important cellar.

A real Tuscan trattoria with very welcoming staff! Great food and great wine cellar … We ate a Florentine steak that was qualitatively much better than what they serve in a TOP 10 restaurant for Florentine steak in Florence!

I had the pleasure of having lunch at this wonderful trattoria and I can say without hesitation that it was an exceptional experience. The environment is welcoming, familiar, with an authentic atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The service is attentive, friendly and never intrusive. But the real star is undoubtedly the food - and in particular the meat: a true explosion of flavor. Extremely tender, cooked to perfection, tasty in every variation. From the most classic cuts to the most particular proposals, every bite was a pleasure. You can clearly perceive the quality of the raw material and the passion of those who prepare it. A place where you eat divinely, especially if you love meat like me. Highly recommended to those looking for authentic flavors, generous portions and an experience that leaves its mark. I will definitely be back! I have never eaten such a good Fiorentina, I recommend it divinely

La qualità di questa trattoria si mantiene eccellente da oltre 20 anni ma recentemente alla cucina tradizionale toscana ha aggiunto qualche divagazione internazionale come il foie gras francese . Prezzi competitivi .Ambiente rustico

31/03/2025: Ho avuto la fortuna di poter cenare a Il Borro. Cibo molto buono, personale molto cortese, professionale e sorridente. Abbiamo gustato gustosi piatti accompagnati da un buon vino. Suggerirei però di inserire anche vini calabresi in quanto assenti dalla carta. Una sala gestita completamente “al femminile” rappresenta inoltre un ulteriore plus. Spero di poterci ritornare presto.
18/03/2025: La configuración del interior es elegantemente refinado y el ambiente bastante relajado - - a pesar de la banda sonora de la casa era demasiado dominante y no debería haber necesitado solicitar que se reduzca en volumen. Grr. Mi petición particular cuando mi reserva fue confirmada, era sentarse en la sección más antigua más cerca de la cocina fue total y completamente ignorado. Para una operación de mercado supuestamente ascendente, tal arrogancia hacia el huésped que paga es imperdonable. Todo eso dijo que encontramos gran parte de la comida en platos algo sobrecargados - - y por lo tanto sobreprecio. Curiosamente, para un destino de gama alta, en otras palabras, las cosas también faltaban un poco. EG ¿por qué la ensalada (absurda y amateurmente compuesta) necesita ser aderezada en la mesa por los propios comensales? Yo era el único que bebía vino y me sorprendió que mi superior (y bastante caro! ) tinto por la elección de la copa me fue entregado ... frío. Obviamente, fue alojado de manera inapropiada después de haber sido abierto previamente para otra persona. . . No tengo ningún problema con eso per se pero no me lo re-presentes directamente desde un refrigerador! ¡Y estas personas se supone que son ante todo gente del vino! Era uno de sus mejores productos. Hay muy pocas situaciones en las que el vino tinto fino refrigerado que se sirve sea aceptable - - esta no era una de ellas ... pero no podía molestarme en discutir. Comer aquí no es recomendable. Ni para la buena comida porque es demasiado desigual y demasiado caro - ni para el servicio sin fisuras y atención al detalle, que por su reputación internacional deberíamos haber experimentado.

08/09/2025: We were in Italy for a week prior to heading to Tuscany. Cortefreda was one of the best meals we had. Every single dish was incredible. While they’re all so incredible I’d say go for the Saffron Risotto with the Osso Bucco, The Wild Boar Stew and the Truffle Gnocchi! Also don’t sleep on the Tiramisu. Just incredible! Also the thousand layer potatoes. Oh and Kitty is the sweetest too!
30/04/2025: 5 Stars – Trust Paolo, Even Without the Wine My dad always told me, “You can always trust the bartender.” Tonight at Ristorante Cortefreda, that truth came to life through Paolo — even though we didn’t order a single drop of alcohol. Paolo, who happens to have a background in chemical engineering, was both our server and the restaurant’s bartender — and yet, he welcomed our choice to stick with black Americanos without even a hint of judgment. His grace, warmth, and professionalism were a masterclass in hospitality. What stood out most was his passion for the food. Every culinary recommendation he made was exceptional — thoughtful, balanced, and clearly rooted in deep knowledge and love for the cuisine. Paolo made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely cared for. If you’re visiting Ristorante Cortefreda, trust Paolo. He’s proof that great service transcends the glass — and that sometimes, the best pairing for an unforgettable meal is simply kindness and good coffee.
