A great place. We stopped for cicchetti. Good and varied. The wine list by the glass is also very good and valid. Correct prices also considering that the cicchetti here are NOT as small as in other parts (it's true here they cost 3 euros but they are really bigger!). The restaurant opens onto 2 parts: one the street where you can cicchetta and the other the square where there are outdoor tables. And inside in the basement there is the wonderful vaulted room which gives the Osteria its name. The owner was good at giving us all the information we asked for.

It says tavern and it is a tavern so a certain type of environment and food, but with a higher level. I tasted a complete menu and have no comments, the dishes were well presented and the wine was in good quantity. The prices are excellent compared to the quality found around. 60 euros for 7 courses and 3 glasses of a good wine is absolutely nothing.

Externally it is modest and you can't imagine that inside there is a very beautiful and well-kept place, a real gem, the food is excellent and the service is also.

Very friendly staff, nice place, with an underground restaurant with stone walls, certainly characteristic. Excellent fresh pasta and prices in line with the proposal.

29/04/2025: Deliziosa osteria su un naviglio consigliataci per caso da una gentile signora a cui abbiamo chiesto info su dove andare a pranzare. Molto particolare all’interno ed estremamente affascinante l’esterno , con i tavolini posti sotto un pergolato sul corso d’acqua . Abbiamo aspettato che si liberasse un tavolo visto che non avevamo prenotato ed abbiamo pranzato comodamente ( senza problemi di orario): friko con polenta e moscardini dell’adriatico con polenta , entrambi molto buoni e gustosi . Servizio gentile e veloce , prezzo in linea. Assolutamente consigliato !
24/12/2024: Osteria ristorante in centro a Udine a due passi dalla bellissima piazza San Giacomo Arredi tipici dell’osteria friulana,così come la cucina.nel complesso buona ma ci manca un pizzico di gusto in più..che non guasta.. Buonissimi gli antipasti Servizio attento e cordiale Gradita la prenotazione

13/03/2025: It was one of the best dinners I've ever had. The place is very well kept and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The food is delicious; you can feel the quality of the ingredients in each dish and the skill of the cook is top marks. Very kind, professional staff who made us feel at home from the start of our dinner. Unfortunately we weren't able to enjoy the splendid panoramic view, but we will definitely be back! Compliments
28/02/2025: It was a pleasure to dine in a restaurant like this, both for the quality of the food provided and for the friendliness of the owner. Excellent quality/price ratio. It's a shame that I live so far away, I would happily go there often
