If I could give it 11 out of 10 I would. Stopped by chance during a walk in Via Mercato Vecchio, we were intrigued by the blackboard outside with the words fresh porcini. Here we saw a vast selection of cicchetti for all tastes and looking at the menu we decided to stop for lunch. Inside is the surprise. At the entrance there is a wine and cicchetti area, then a special room for the evening to have a drink with friends and down the stairs a magnificent stone dining room with very beautiful vaulted ceilings. The delicious food based on fresh porcini mushrooms and fish. Concluding with 2 delicious desserts. Highly recommended. I forgot managers and staff of unique kindness. Price I honestly thought I would spend more.

On the edge of the main square of Udine, on a sunny and hot day, shaded and refreshed by a light breeze, accompanied by sweet cheerful accordion music, we enjoyed a meal of note. The atmosphere, as described above, impeccable. The service is good, but lacking elegance and friendliness at all times. The food, criticized on 3 names: 1. Choice, plentiful, no fancy dishes, some tourist trap dishes. 2. Plating, except for a few visually graceful dishes, the rest lacked noteworthy harmony and beauty. 3. Quality, everything consumed was very tasty (Octopus, Vitello Tonnato, Agnus, French fries… the desserts left something to be desired) Finally, the value for money is questionable, but given the location it is appreciable. Finally of the accounts recommended!

Beautiful location, terrace overlooking the center with refreshing umbrellas with steam nozzles, kind and attentive service, ate a good salad and good mozzarella, the heat doesn't allow me to try other dishes that looked inviting, the interior is very nice too, bathrooms toilet service very clean congratulations, I looked at the prices it is not among the cheap but rightly it enjoys a tourist position not to be underestimated, if I return I will return there

Siamo andati a pranzo in famiglia, è un locale centralissimo di Udine, con degli splendidi tavoli fuori in piazza, ma all’interno ha una location molto piu’ bella. Si mangia bene, sono abbastanza puliti, i prezzi sono onesti. Unica macchia nera che mi spinge a non tornare più in questo locale e’ il servizio camerieri, in particolare c’è un cameriere età più o meno quarant’anni, non parla tanto bene l’italiano ma si fa capire, dice 30 volte in un secondo grazie, ma se gli chiedete qualche informazione sulle pietanze diventa scostumato tendente al cafone. Probabilmente trattasi di personale non specializzato .

Abbiamo cenato di Saba sera, fortunatamente c'era un posto disponibile, proprio accanto alla loggia del Lionello. Ottimo servizio del responsabile esterno, attento e accurato. Ottimi gli antipasti di pesce gratinato. Ottima la frittura e il branzino. Non ho gradito la salsa che accompagnava il filetto di branzino, fatta con la maionese, ma si può lasciare in parte.
