Very nice place in the center of Padua. Excellent first courses and the prices are also excellent

I quickly booked a table in this tavern via the fork. I want to start from the service: in the room, serving, there is a very professional, very good, friendly and very fast girl! It's scary how many times and how quickly he continually goes up and down the stairs of the club! More than a gym! Compliments! Let's start with the food: Appetizer of cured meats and cheeses. Good! (and a very generous portion!), first course: bigoli with white ragù. They were good... Too bad there was no salt at all! The sore point comes with the second course... I took the herbed chicken with porcini mushrooms. The chicken arrives, I eat it eh.... It was cold! But cold from the fridge! (I'm afraid that they don't cook espresso but reheat already cooked dishes, alas...) I pointed this out. The owner apologized 2000 times! In addition to making me prepare the dish again, in the end he also gave me a 13 euro discount. Which I really appreciated. So not the best, but it deserves all 4 stars!

Wonderful place in the historic center. Prices are more than fair

I'm in Padua for a "hit and run" errand, I wander around this splendid city for a bit and before leaving my partner and I are looking for an inn to have lunch. We find ourselves in front of this tavern by pure chance, at 1.40 pm, and we decide to try it without looking at reviews or opinions online. Upon entering we find a clean and tidy, welcoming, certainly historic place, with warm and enveloping colours. We were received well and were made to sit on the raised mezzanine, an air-conditioned environment, the menu printed on the paper tablecloth of the mise en place, a good way to optimize the service. My other half orders a plate of bigoli with anchovy sauce, I try the rib-eye with a fair weight, about half a kilo, cooked very rare, with a simple salad and house wine on the side. Result? Incredibly quick service, good wine without exceeding the price, tasty and generous first course and sublime meat, melt-in-your-mouth maturing, cooked perfectly rare without being cold to the heart. All for 54.80 (with water and coffee). As a former restaurateur, I highly recommend trying it (the chef also came to make sure of the satisfaction directly at the table). I hope to return.

Antica Colonna, a Paduan sign rich in history. Nice trattoria in the central area, therefore convenient for taking a "digestive" walk while admiring the central squares. Pleasant place where you can eat well. I definitely recommend the bigoli in anchovy sauce, the beef tartare if you like raw meat, the pork currants. The desserts and wine served are also good. Definitely coming back!

The food was good , but not a place to stop for a quick lunch as the service was very slow. I also agree with other reviewers that 3,5 euros for a bottle of water (without label) is extortionate

For a Paduan it is always a great emotion to dine at Antica Colonna, located in the prestigious Via Altinate. We ordered an appetizer (mixed cured meats), pork ribs (super) and beef tartare (unsurpassed) and a couple of side dishes (these were also good), and the wine was truly exceptional! Get advice. The chef was really kind and helpful and the staff were polite and friendly. Modern tavern furnishings (I would have preferred straw chairs and pine tables) but overall pleasant. I'll be back.

Excellent tavern, truly special food, first course bigoli all'amatriciana seems to be in Rome, second course excellent quality meat with just the right sauce, side dish potatoes with speck, successful novelty, delicious homemade bread, see you next year.
