Overall, the restaurant was good. We had a charcuterie appetizer, which was tasty and quite filling. The gnocchi were very good, but unfortunately the pasta with sauce was a bit overcooked and should have been cooked a few minutes less. The main courses were very good: we recommend the grilled fillet steak and the polenta with venison. The braised beef, on the other hand, was good but a bit cloying. Overall, I recommend it, especially because of the very kind staff!

We stopped for lunch on the way to Locarno. This restaurant is highly recommended for anyone stopping in Santa Maria. I had a freshly cooked fillet steak on a stone heated in a wood-fired oven, with a side of polenta and porcini mushrooms. Everything was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly!

This pizzeria turned out to be a real discovery! The polenta concia, with sausage and venison were excellent... The desserts were excellent, homemade. We couldn't try them because we were short on time, but we were absolutely blown away by the meat cooked on soapstone! This will definitely be the next dish we'll try when we return.
