A lovely evening in excellent company! Excellent Roman tripe and service... as you'd expect from a historic Roman trattoria. Perhaps too well-known... even to those—Vikings!—who would like it to be part of their barbaric eating habits!

We stumbled upon this splendid, homey Roman osteria by chance. Here, you can still feel the authenticity of traditional cuisine. This authenticity is evident in the menu and prices. We ordered bruschetta with Colonnata lard as an appetizer, then sampled two traditional pasta dishes: spaghetti alla carbonara and fettuccine alla gricia.
The deliciousness of these dishes and the friendliness of the waiter were a pleasant surprise.

If you're looking for a place to eat like at grandma's house, this osteria is a must. The menu is simple, honest, and profoundly Roman: perfectly creamy carbonara, flavorful amatriciana, and so much more. No frills, just honest dishes prepared with genuine ingredients and a lot of craftsmanship.
The service is fast and attentive. The owner is friendly and extremely organized: even when the place is busy, the wait is never too long.
The quality-price ratio is more than good: generous portions, fair prices, and above all, the feeling of leaving satisfied, with a full stomach and a happy heart.
A true osteria, where Roman tradition still reigns supreme. I'll definitely be back.

Great little restaurant with broad menu, very friendly and helpful owner. Bacala was. superb, home made pasta dishes excellent. Very good value and quirky decoration makes this a great place for a simple relaxed dinner. Take-out service available. Gluten free pasta available.

We went to eat with 2 people at Osteria Al 16. The cozy restaurant is a bit hidden, the owners were friendly, the food was authentic and really very tasty. All this at a fair price. They don't speak English, only Italian. The menu has an English translation of the dishes. You can pay with your bank card and you are helped quickly. Highly recommended!

I feasted on quality, authentic food in the heart of Rome, with an endearing and pleasant waiter. What a remarkable first day in Rome. The menu of the day was very filling (I, of course, indulged in other local fares as the occasion would have it), and am leaving quite content. I would certainly come back.

Simplemente no puedo entender por qué este lugar no es mejor revisado, ya que fuimos dos veces y tuvimos una comida y un servicio fantásticos en ambas ocasiones. Tanto la pasta como los platos de pizza eran auténticos y bien cocinados, al igual que los postres. En nuestra primera visita fuimos los únicos no italianos allí, lo que indica que no es una trampa para turistas. Los precios también son buenos. Sin duda recomendaría.

Primer día en Roma y encontramos este lugar. Parecía auténtico y turístico. Nos atendió un viejo camarero - amable y gruñón. Me gustaba. La comida era genial. Teníamos ternera, berenjena, verduras a la parrilla y tiramisú. La comida era muy buena. Un maravilloso vino blanco. Tuvimos muy buena noche
