Very good food, all homemade and made to order. Excellent service and very friendly staff, I really don't understand the negative reviews. It is far from a tourist trap, it is a family business run by local people.
Edit: We came back the next day and everything was delicious again. Recommended 100%

Брали trippa alla romana, pasta alla gricio. Блюда были великолепны и приготовлены довольно быстр, при том, что была практически полная посадка.

An excellent restaurant, we came for dinner and they served us with great kindness and speed. The food was exquisite and at a good price (€20/person). Among other things, we ordered Spaghetti Carbonara, they were delicious. Osteria totally recommended. We will surely repeat it on our next stay in Rome.

We love the food here at Osteria Al 16. We try to come back every time we come to Roma. Gluten-free pasta is available and delicious. The risotto and vegetable dishes were as well! Many items on the menu can be made gluten-free!

Courgette flower as you can only eat it in Rome and gricia with broccoli. Good and authentic dishes like the chat with the innkeeper Claudio and with the neighbors at the table. Fair price and generous quantities. Thank you!

I took a classic amatriciana and it was exceptional, friends took other first courses such as cacioepepe and carbonara, gnocchi, even the stew, everyone was enthusiastic. For dessert, one of the best chocolate and walnut tarts I've ever had in a restaurant (usually dessert doesn't fully satisfy me in restaurants).
5* food, 5* service, I gave 4* to the environment only because of the location in the center, a bit of a mess getting there

Best authentic Italian food just like Nonna makes. The waiter/owner was on his own (don't know if alternate staff called in sick) but he totally rocked doing everything! We witnessed a few tables leaving due to not happy with menu, no Halal and a couple not being served quick enough. Restaurants like this are just gems, nothing fancy tucked away in back streets, cheaper prices and food to die for if you enjoy real traditional Italian cooking.
