This restaurant is fine. The pasta is nice. The servers are nice. I would give it a 3.5 if I could. It was good but not mind blowing.

A genuinely Roman trattoria, located in a quintessentially Roman neighborhood. Traditional dishes (tripe, oxtail, sinew, scottadito, saltimbocca, amatriciana, pasta and broccoli, pasta and potatoes...) with hearty and generous sauces. Checkered tablecloths, home-style service, and fair prices. Not for the health-conscious or posh!

Mediocre food, we only had starters, and the matriciana we ordered had very little guanciale. Good, but I wouldn't go back.

We went there for lunch. The food wasn't bad, nothing extraordinary, but still pretty good. I had an amatriciana, which, unfortunately, only had two (I counted them) tiny pieces of guanciale, so much so that at first glance it looked like a perfectly ordinary pasta with tomato sauce.
The service was also average; the waiter who served us seemed listless and tired.
The atmosphere isn't bad, a little cramped but clean.

I loved everything. First and foremost, the owner's friendliness. The food was excellent and plentiful. The Roman-style fried food was superb, and the cacio e pepe was among the best I've ever eaten. The house wine was also good. Well done. We'll be back.

simpatica trattoria nel cuore di S.Lorenzo con specialità romane molto ben cucinate. Ottimo il pollo con i peperoni. Prezzi contenuti.
