A corner of Tuscany in Friuli. As a Tuscan, I wanted to try the local cuisine, but on Mondays, almost everything is closed, so in the end, rather than a choice, I gave in to the events. And thank goodness! I would have missed out on dishes that brought back memories of my past. The atmosphere is charming, the tables a bit small. The staff is very friendly and fast. My wife and I ordered pappardelle with porcini mushrooms, two tartars, a side of porcini mushrooms, and a classic crostini with chicken livers. Everything was perfect: the mushrooms were fresh and tender, and the tartar paired with warm crostini and anchovies melted in the mouth. Water and a glass of Chianti. All for €70.

For those who want to eat excellent meat in a casual atmosphere. I recommend booking, even during the week! It's always busy, even when there's no one in Udine.

A restaurant you absolutely must try. We were welcomed like royalty, and immediately received a bowl of water for our "Gastone." The menu offered a wide selection of delicacies. We opted for an appetizer and a main course; we couldn't have eaten a first course. A Florentine steak to share (over a kilo) and a sliced steak with Colonnata lard were heavenly in terms of quality and the perfect balance of flavors. We couldn't even bring ourselves to try dessert for all the food we ate. Another highlight was the fragrant bread and the deliciously seasoned baked potatoes. The staff were always helpful and highly knowledgeable, with the manager providing us with extensive information on the ingredients and the high quality of the products available. Definitely worth a try.

we went on tuesday for lunch and we took the menu of the day (carbonara). we have never tasted better carbonara. excellent food and even better service (thanks especially to the tall and dark-haired girl). high quality place also for the atmosphere and we will definitely be back. thank you!!! 🍝❤️
