Very friendly staff, very nice atmosphere and really excellent dishes. Last night was the first experience but it is definitely worth trying the other proposals contained in the menu.

Unlike the somewhat anonymous entrance, the internal room is spacious and well furnished. The presence of large and bright windows allows you to enjoy a view of the sea, precisely on the pier of Marina di Massa. It is a pity that lately the marine panorama has been spoiled by the presence of the wreck of a merchant ship that crashed into the pier. The menu is very interesting and captivating thanks to the presence of quality ingredients in particular and pasta (Felicietti, Cocco). It is a pity that the dishes brought to the table partly betray the initial expectations. Below is an analysis of the proposals tasted. Successful (or almost): spaghetti with Lini's Vermentino wine with pink shrimp tartare and lemon zest (a very interesting dish, shame about the overcooked pasta), spaghetti with clams and tuna bottarga (which however you couldn't taste). Dishes that were definitely not successful: spaghetti mare nostrum (with seafood) and paccheri with anchovies, both with little flavor, further watered down by the presence of internal cherry tomatoes full of water. The cod with Sorana bean puree and sweet and sour onion was decent. The fried shrimp, squid, anchovies and red mullet with tempura vegetables were average. The wine list was interesting. The service was polite but decidedly slow which resulted in long waiting times. Overall the prices were a bit expensive for what was offered.

Welcoming place, we took two mixed grills very poor 1 piece of cuttlefish, a piece of fish, 2 prawns and 2 scampi and some grilled vegetables soaked in oil. The price is too high for what they offer.

Lunch with friends on a Sunday in May, beautiful location on the beach with a view of the wreck. Suitable atmosphere. Many free tables (1:00 pm). Unsatisfactory starter: 1 cm cube of tuna in sauce. Tasty first courses but in small portions, certainly not as good as the price which is therefore excessive. Fried food is average. Difficult to return, especially after having eaten in other places in the area.

Bel locale sul lungomare con un salone caratterizzato da ampie vetrate sul mare (possibilità di cenare anche all’aperto), Oscar vi sorprenderà fin dal momento in cui vi siederete a tavola: tutto è confortevole, in un bellissimo panorama (specialmente se sl tramonto). La ricchezza degli antipasti per iniziare al meglio, proseguendo con primi e secondi di mare con ottimi ingredienti e cucinati al meglio per soddisfare tutti i palati; un eccezionale polpo alla piastra o una ricca impepata di cozze o perché no un’eccellente frittura di mare. Una buona scelta di vini per accompagnare la cena e concludere in bellezza lasciandovi tentare dai dolci fatti in casa. Un buon rapporto qualità prezzo rende sempre la cena più piacevole (e se lo avete e’ accettato anche il vostro “amico a quattro zampe”. Ci siamo stati piu’ volte ma tornare da Oscar è sempre piacevole…

My wife and I had lunch today in this restaurant, a nice, welcoming and clean place, very kind and knowledgeable staff, the dishes were all perfect.

Recommended by a friend, out of season far above all expectations! A place that promises well right from the entrance! Cozy, well furnished with a wonderful sea view. Generous portions, never banal plating, excellent combinations of refinement and tradition, and also the right value for money. Competent and helpful dining room staff, so much so that they re-set a table for us that had just finished lunch so that we could savor the last two courses with a view of the sea (a thoughtfulness that did not go unnoticed given that it had not been explicitly requested by us).

Il posto è decisamente elegante e molto fighetto (compresa l'accoglienza stile Zurigo downtown quanto a calore ed empatia), sempre molto frequentato perchè si mangia decisamente bene, a scanso di equivoci. In questo periodo oltretutto, data la prossimità alla spiaggia, si gode di una vista eccezionale del relitto della chiatta che ha semidistrutto il molo di Marina di Massa. Passando ai piatti, l'invito del cuoco, sempre apprezzato, è una purea di patate e porri con scaglie di tonno, adatto come inizio del pasto. Ottima la tempura che prende mia moglie come antipasto, a base di acciughe e verdure, decisamente meno soddisfacente il mio polpo a bassa temperatura: si scrive delicato si legge insipido. Meglio entrambi i primi, ossia gli gnocchi di patate che ordina mia moglie e gli spaghetti con tartare per me, ma serviti appena tiepidi e con tempi di attesa biblici, poichè quando il locale è pieno, e lo è spesso, le attese diventano decisamente eccessive. Chiudo con una cheesecake che sarebbe ottima ma viene servita a temperatura di frigorifero e non è decisamente il caso. Mia moglie ordina un vino passito. Smagliature? Può darsi ma quando il conto supera abbondantemente i 60 euro a testa non sono affatto dettagli. Tipico ristorante dove sì vabè ho mangiato bene ma tornare anche no.
