Officina Perduta In Bientina

19/10/2025: Passing through the little town of San Miniato, we stopped for lunch at Trattoria Canapone. We were greeted warmly by the manager and server. We sat outside to dine. My husband and I shared the melon and prosciutto to start. The melon was a canary melon, so sweet. I love the sweetness of the melon against the saltiness of the prosciutto. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara and hubby had the Tortelloni Bolognese for lunch. Both dishes were delicious. Hubby’s actually was amazing! I’m glad we stumbled upon this restaurant. Molto Buona!

18/10/2025: Welcoming restaurant, very friendly staff, a waitress with a good sense of humor, even a witty one, always ready, and the owner (cook with his wife) is very friendly and approachable. The truffle crostini were excellent, as were the first courses. Then we moved straight on to dessert, and that too met our expectations.
