Elegant and refined atmosphere and service. Food a splendid novelty. Top-notch starters (especially the stockfish with flaked almonds and the tuna with caramelized Tropea onion). The spaghetti with anchovies is also excellent. To return

Sito in centro città in una via con parcheggio su strada. Locale con pochi coperti e un arredamento con bottiglie a vista molto caratteristico. Menù con qrcode che fa perdere qualche punto in partenza, poi recuperato dalle ottime pietanze egregiamente preparate e ben presentate il tutto accompagnato da un servito attento e molto professionale. Ottimi anche i dolci. Mi sarei aspettato un sommelier che ci avesse consigliato qualche bottiglia dalla ben fornita cantina e la visita al tavolo dello Chef…che invece andava da chi preferiva o forse da chi conosceva! Prezzi leggermente altini.

The place is not very large, but very welcoming and well looked after. Ideal both for an ordinary dinner and for a more particular event. Rich selection of both meat and fish, all of a high standard and with an eye to Calabrian and Sicilian ingredients and traditions. Really well-stocked wine cellar, very kind owner and staff!

The place is nice, even if very small, and full of bottles (a real cellar!).
To be able to dine at Officina del Gusto we had to book many days in advance, because the place cannot accommodate many diners. But this was not a problem for us. It had been recommended to us as an excellent restaurant and we wanted to experience it first hand. Overall, the food isn't bad, even if the value for money is a bit high. The gluten-free option is also guaranteed, even if pasta was not offered to us.
The weak point, based on the only experience lived in this restaurant, is, in our very modest opinion, the service: the people who serve the tables seem unprofessional, distracted, not very present and not very attentive.
The owner evidently tries to make up for these shortcomings by personally committing himself, but often he too is a bit sloppy.

Fortunato Aricò è un vero alchimista alle prese con i sapori e le erbe dell'Aspromonte, con le carni da cortile (faraona, coniglio, ect). La sua rete di piccoli produttori da cui si approvvigiona garantisce qualità e freschezza. Buonissimi i flan e i tortini, polpette insuperabili ed effetto wow con i ravioloni con ripieno di caciocavallo di Ciminà ( Presidio Slow FOOD) e melanzane Violetta di Longobardi
