I've been going there every few years since I was a child, and today I'm back and nothing has changed. Fresh, good products, incredible dishes, impeccable service that remains true to tradition. The owners are always smiling and kind, and as a South Tyrolean, I'm happy that places like this still exist (so many have changed due to tourism). If I had to recommend a Gasthof to anyone, it would be this one. Knödel, Kaiserschmarn, and their Holersaft are, in my opinion, the best in the area.

Everything was perfect, great service, delicious food (all regional), it's worth going up here by bike (without the E that you're also hungry and thirsty) gladly again

Oberölgart is a fantastic restaurant! You can tell Bernhard is passionate about his work as a chef, and junior manager Sandra is also very hardworking and welcoming. It's a wonderful family business where everything just fits together perfectly. We felt completely at home and would love to come back!

An insider tip that more than surprised us. We discovered it quite by chance on Google Maps, and on the way there, we were rather skeptical about whether it was the right decision to take this route. But what a fantastic meal, and every special request was accommodated, even though the kitchen was already closed.

For me, this is a mega highlight in the mountains! Beautiful surroundings, shady parking (we were there in 30-degree heat), and plenty of great seating both inside and outside! Delicious food with a fantastic view! The approach might be a bit challenging, as the road is narrow and blind in many places!

Die Südtiroler Gerichte sind einfach lecker – von den herzhaften Knödeln bis zum süßen Kaiserschmarren, alles schmeckt großartig! 😋 Der Außenbereich ist wunderschön und perfekt, um bei schönem Wetter draußen zu sitzen. Auch drinnen gibt’s sehr schöne Stuben, ideal für ein gemütliches Törggelen oder andere Feiern. Das Personal ist super freundlich - Sehr zu empfehlen!

06/07/2025: A wonderful, relaxing stay in a fantastic location We stayed at the hotel above Latsch with an e-bike tour group – an absolutely quiet, idyllic location with stunning views of the South Tyrolean landscape. The hotel itself is beautiful, very well-maintained, and well-equipped. The well-designed underground parking garage, which was perfectly equipped for e-bikes – including charging stations – deserves special mention. Our rooms with a garden view were pleasantly quiet, allowing us to relax wonderfully. The beautiful garden with pool offered just the right respite after our bike rides. The breakfast left nothing to be desired, and the dinner was a real highlight – culinary delights of the highest caliber and sensational quality. Added to that, the very friendly, attentive service and the extremely friendly hosts. We felt completely at home and left feeling completely rested. Highly recommended – we would love to come back!
21/06/2025: Although we only went for dinner one evening this year, it was once again excellent. Super delicious, great quality, excellent service, and gluten-free options are also available. Thank you for another wonderful stay!

23/03/2025: Food was very creative in concept and artful in presentation. Didn’t like the fish dish. They worked around my allergies, but I could tell it was a challenge for them and not something they’re overly excited to have to do for guests. They did go out of their way and try and make gluten-free bread as the packaged options they offered were not very tasty. While the bread was a little bit of a flop. I certainly appreciate the effort. My husband loved the “mold” dish. Wines by the glass were also very good. Service overall was very good, but the timing was off with trying to serve several tables at once multiple courses and we waited over 45 minutes between our last course and dessert. After dessert, they come out with another set of tasty bites to try and send you home with some cookies. Nice touches.
16/03/2025: Exquisite food for foodies. Service was friendly and attentive when available but a little slow. We had to pour our own water and wine sometimes. This doesn't usually bother me, but one excepts top attention for top money paid. Especially for the $150 per person Surprise Menu.
