Excellent place to enjoy traditional 0km food from producer to consumer, with tables located in the beautiful garden on nice days. Butter dumplings and cabbage salad were our choice. Local wine, and apple juice. All very good. Honest account. See you soon!

In jedem unserer Urlaube in Lana ist ein Besuch hier oben für uns definitiv ein Pflichtprogramm. Bei einem Lokal von Programm zu sprechen? Hier definitiv ja! Hier spricht nämlich nicht nur das ausgesprochen gute und ausreichend leckere Essen für sich, hier stimmt auch die Komponente Inhaber/Gast! Oswald, mimt hier sehr gerne den Alleinunterhalter und das kann er richtig gut. Wenn er Anekdoten aus seinem bewegten Leben als Bauer erzählt, muss man ganz genau hin hören, weil er doch nicht bereit ist (und das ist gut so) seinen Dialekt zu verheimlichen. Hat man aber erst einmal den Zugang zum zuhören gefunden, hat man hier oben neben gutem Essen auch eine wunderbar gute Unterhaltung. Hier stimmt sowohl die Leistung als auch der Preis. Frieda, die Köchin versteht es wie kaum jemand anderes, die Knödel zuzubereiten. Tatsächlich esse ich seit Jahren nur noch hier oben das heiß geliebte Knödeltries. In diesem Jahr hatten wir erstmals (der Kinder wegen) den Kaiserschmarren, der war vielleicht lecker!!

The best cheese and spinach dumplings I have eaten in South Tyrol. With butter and parmesan. The ambience with palm, banana and olive trees is rustic with wooden benches and tables. Hosts are accommodating and friendly. There's also a great view all the way to Bolzano! I'd love to come back!

Yesterday I came here to wait for a friend. Super tasty food, simple but exactly what I wanted. Price/performance simply great. Very friendly and accommodating, as if you were part of the family. My first stop when I want good food.

This is how you imagine a Buschenschenke. Great dumplings with cabbage and homemade apple strudel and delicious Vernatsch and nice guides and, at the same time, a lesson on how to properly treat the Ketschn.

10/02/2025: My partner and I spent a wonderful long weekend. Past excellent ratings have proven true. Clean and spacious apartment. Excellent products in the hotel bar/shop and present at breakfast time. But the thing that really leaves its mark is the kindness of the staff, available to give advice and to help the customer, if possible. Thank you very much and if possible see you soon.
09/01/2025: We stayed at the Hotel-Residence der Bircher for 4 days, we had a nice apartment with a bedroom and living room with a kitchenette, it must have been recently renovated as everything still looks pretty new. The breakfast is a dream, we definitely spent half an hour longer at breakfast than at other hotels, and the cake in the afternoon was also really tasty.

29/12/2024: Do not hesitate and book this place immediately! I could write a very long review about our experience with Schgaguler Hotel, but I’ll try to keep it short. Everything was AMAZING. Food, design, coffee, cocktails, music, facilities and most importantly SERVICE! Everyone is incredible. However, I do want to give a special shout out to Peters (both Peter from the bar and Peter at the reception desk / service), Simon, Sandra and the room service team. You guys have made our stay as smooth as possible and we will miss your attention to details a lot. Truthfully. Thank you for everything. We will always recommend your incredible hotel to everyone we know.
24/12/2024: We stayed here twice and both times is was a phenomenal experience, so we’ll be back again for sure and highly recommend this hotel. We love the elegant and modern design, the cozy bar and the large spa area with pool and excellent treatments. The restaurant is superb (and even preparing a daily changing gluten-free menu!) and the sommelier Sandra is just awesome so we always had a local wine perfectly matching the food and our taste. Generally it’s the staff that makes the difference: really everyone is going above and beyond. We felt so unbelievably welcome for every second of our stays and really look forward to our next one.
