The Trattoria Nonna Consiglia is a real insider tip for Martano.
Slightly out of town in the south, but still easily accessible on foot, lies this lovingly run country estate, which delights with its incredibly delicious food and family atmosphere.
We discovered it by chance and had a truly perfect evening.
We were actually just in the mood for some good pasta, but the antipasti were so plentiful, varied, and delicious. Simply fantastic!
We'll be back, even as an overnight guest, as soon as possible.

It is one of those places that makes you feel like you’re not a client but you’re invited for lunch by someone in the family, or a friend.. very talented in the kitchen!! Very warm service, hearty food with fresh ingredients. We left very happy and would recommend to anyone.

A charming place, converted from an old local farmhouse, typical of the region. Everything was well-maintained, and the owners offered a very friendly welcome. The food was obviously delicious. The price was truly generous for what we ate. The only downside was the slightly long wait to take our order; we were the only ones in the dining room, and we waited almost 20 minutes. Otherwise, it was a magnificent experience that deserves top marks—kudos!

Traditional, homemade cuisine. We received an exceptional welcome and treatment from the owner. The place is truly beautiful, even inside. The portions are generous, which the owner kindly warned us about, as we initially over-ordered. Highly recommended is Nonna Consiglia's mixed antipasto, which allowed us to enjoy traditional, authentic flavors, and the orecchiette with turnip tops, burrata, and porcini mushrooms were exceptional. We would definitely return.

We had a wonderful experience here: the food (steak) was by far some of the best we have ever had, cooked exceptionally well. The people are very friendly, sincere and made us feel very welcome. What a gracious hostess! We will never forget this experience and this encounter. Puglia at its best. We are grateful, until next time!

We came here for dinner as a group of friends, most of whom were visiting from Argentina, and I wanted them to experience authentic local cuisine. Trattoria Nonna Consiglia was the perfect choice. The lovely owner prepared a selection of traditional antipasti just for us, followed by two large sharing platters of different pasta dishes so everyone could taste a variety of flavors. Everything was absolutely delicious and made with love. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere felt warm and genuine—just like dining at a local home. Highly recommended for anyone looking to taste real Salento hospitality and traditional food in a relaxed, friendly setting.

Truly a great discovery. Tonia is a welcoming hostess who immediately makes you feel at ease.
We tried the mixed appetizer (really rich with a mix of vegetables, fried foods, cheese, muersi), orecchiette with turnips, mushrooms and burrata, mixed salad... All abundant and tasty.
A typical location with attention to detail, with a large and bright garden outside.
We will definitely be back and I recommend it! :)
