👍A Modern Experience That Breaks Preconceptions: Holiday Inn (Italy) Decades ago, I stayed at a Holiday Inn in the US, and my impression of it was one of simplicity and unpretentiousness. However, this time, visiting the Italian branch, I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I entered the lobby. The overall design was much more modern and vibrant than I expected, with warm and comfortable lighting in the bar next to the lobby. Although the room lighting was a bit dim, the hotel's attention to detail was evident: face towels were thoughtfully provided next to the sink, and the bathtub handles even had non-slip rubber grips. The restaurant's food followed a healthy approach; the scrambled eggs and croissants, though common and basic, were exceptionally delicious. Being able to do simple things to the best of one's ability is a testament to professionalism. ❤️A Modern Surprise: Holiday Inn (Italy) Having stayed at a Holiday Inn in the U.S. MANY years ago, I remembered it as simple and plain. However, this Italian location surprised me from the moment I walked in. The lobby exudes a much more modern and vibrant energy than I expected, with a beautifully lit bar that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. While the room lighting was a bit dim, the thoughtful details spoke volumes about the hotel's care for its guests—such as the face towels provided by the sink and the anti-slip rubber grips on the bathtub handles. The restaurant offers healthy options; the scrambled eggs and croissants were simple yet delicious. To do the simple things to perfection is the mark of true professionalism.

The hotel is near the port and Genoa's famous Lighthouse, but far from the city center. The rooms are spacious and clean, but could use some maintenance. The bathroom fan wasn't working, and even after asking the front desk for help, it wasn't fixed. Other unsightly features in the bathroom include a half-broken hairdryer that struggles to stay in place, the silicone around the tub was installed by an inexperienced person, and a toilet that struggles to drain because the plug won't lift. Breakfast is varied, international in style, but not particularly high quality. Reaching the parking lot requires a bit of imagination and direction.

There was a strong, unpleasant body odor in the hotel lobby. The front desk staff were friendly, but their supervisor was hard to describe.

Genoa is a port city, so there are a lot of non-Italians. 🙂 Unfortunately, the city itself is worn out and can only very little and poorly reflect the Italian way of life. However, the Holiday Inn is a wonderful hotel, with super nice people. The room is clean, modern. The bed was a little hard for me, but my partner loved it. We had breakfast included in the price, it was a buffet, but the selection was plentiful and very, very delicious. We spent two nights at the hotel, and honestly we received maximum attention and kindness. The price/value ratio is outstanding. I can only recommend it!

Andrea at breakfast is so kind. She made an extra effort to help me this morning. A very interesting hotel built by the docks. Unfortunately the parking access was tricky like other reviews mention. Get here during daylight or it will be very difficult to find and negotiate access to the parking area which is a drive away around the back. I wasn't impressed by the mobile cell tower right above my balcony. The room was lovely and the evening restaurant is good but the bright hospital style lighting needs attention. Difficult to sleep as sirens all night even with the double glazing. The large Army group staying were well behaved and I felt very safe. Andrea deserves a special mention. Lost 2 stars because of the parking, the noise at night and the cell tower above my bedroom. A good breakfast with a nice young lady Andrea.

Beautiful, spacious, and modern room. Parking near the hotel isn't always easy as it's located on a main thoroughfare with heavy traffic, but the hotel is well soundproofed.

I stayed one night at the hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful. We even found a welcome kit for my dog ​​in the room. The room was spotless and the breakfast was excellent. The location was very convenient, close to the port of Genoa. Highly recommended.

The view from my room was amazing, it was clean but it smelled terrible. It had a sweaty odor. I had to open the window to air it out. The breakfast food is just okay, but the bread is good. The service is excellent, and it's close to the subway and bus stops.

Elegant, comfortable accommodation with friendly staff available to meet every request. Rooms with every comfort, impeccable housekeeping service with friendly and helpful staff, fantastic restaurant services with a wide selection of excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, and excellent portions. The dining room staff are always ready to accommodate every request. The reception staff are also friendly and available to help with anything to make guests feel at home. Basically, everything is top-notch!!! 😍☺️
