06/10/2025: I've been to Xu Garden in Calenzano a couple of times, and I have to say that overall, it's a nice place for sushi and Asian dishes without too many pretensions.
The restaurant is large, modern, and clean, with a relaxed atmosphere—perfect for both a dinner with friends and a romantic evening.
The menu is extensive, with the classic all-you-can-eat formula: sushi, sashimi, uramaki, but also Chinese dishes and a few hot dishes (rice noodles, ravioli, chicken, etc.). The fish is generally fresh and delicious, especially the salmon and the simple rolls. Some dishes arrive a little late if the restaurant is busy, but nothing tragic.
The staff is friendly and reasonably quick, although during peak hours, you can tell they're a bit rushed.
I liked that the dishes are beautifully presented, not thrown together haphazardly like some all-you-can-eat restaurants.
As for the price, it's average for the area: not cheap, but fair for the quantity and variety.
If I really had to find a flaw, I'd say the quality isn't always consistent: sometimes excellent, other times a bit so-so. And some of the restaurant's rules (like not ordering too many of the same dishes) are a bit annoying, but whatever.
Overall, though, I'd gladly return: a pleasant place, good food, and a refined atmosphere. It might not be the finest sushi in the world, but for a carefree evening, it's more than adequate.
