Place run by an Apulian couple who mixes some Apulian dishes and Abruzzo cuisine. Service perhaps a little slow but the cuisine is amazing: exceptional first courses, such as the strozzapreti with aubergines and very well cooked meat. The recommended apple pie.

On a Saturday evening in Urbino where, without having booked, it seems impossible to have dinner, the restaurateurs of the inn welcomed us kindly (unlike others) by carving us out a table for two without too much waiting. Tasty dishes but the plating could be improved and the right quality/price ratio. Friendly staff, although the waiting times for the dishes were a little too long. The place would need a refresh.

Although the food was averagely good and affordable, the service was poor. Informal environment that can be improved in cleanliness. Number of staff not adequate for those covered.

Once seated we were asked to unify the choice of dishes to speed up the service and although 6 of us had taken two types of first courses we waited an hour and twenty, the dishes were not of great quality, almost tasteless, there was tomato in the garganella not indicated on the menu, dirty environment with cobwebs everywhere, price consistent with the quality...

14/12/2024: Excellent chocolate, staff to avoid! I consumed it, I paid (in cash) I asked for the receipt and the gentleman at the checkout first pretended not to understand, then he said that he had given it to my husband (not true), then he said that someone had taken it ( there was no one other than us at the checkout), then he definitively denied it to me, and as soon as I turned my back he even made a joke laughing at me with two ladies, as if I were crazy!!! Really very rude and rude as well as not having provided the DUE receipt!

Agriturismo La Locanda del Gelso

08/09/2024: Ritorno dopo diversi anni sperando di trovare quella autenticità nei luoghi e nel cibo che mi aveva colpito all'epoca: delusione. Location molto rinnovata verso un turismo, soprattutto straniero, che ama le colline marchigiane, ma anche le comodità (vedasi la piscina che un tempo non c'era). Cucina apparentemente sofisticata, ma che si perde un po' nei dettagli (servizio decisamente naif, quantità misurate), ma buona nel gusto. Prezzo giusto, ma non economico.
28/08/2024: Tornato una paio di volte ad agosto, sempre buona la carne come le patate arrosto. Primi solo assaggiati, devo dire ben preparati e di gusto. Carta dei vini con predilezione a quelli locali, costi accessibilissimi. Nel complesso è un locale piacevole, in una posizione bellissima. Sono i due camerieri che spesso sono scostanti, passano dalla gentilezza alla ruvidità in un battibaleno.
