At Monelle, right in the center of Alcamo (main square), I ate the best pizza of my life. Soft and light dough, yet just the right amount of crispiness: a perfect bite and, rare, incredibly digestible. The flavors are refined, never overpowering: balanced saltiness and a clean taste. Superior-quality ingredients and creative toppings, with a wide selection of highly original pizzas and ingenious combinations I'd never seen before. For me, it's a true excellence, not just locally but at the Italian level.

We knew this pizzeria by reputation and couldn't wait to try it, recommended by some colleagues and friends. I must say we were pleasantly surprised: the dough was absolutely perfect, with a lightness hard to find elsewhere, beyond any expectations, very light, and with undoubtedly top-notch ingredients; excellent value for money. The menu offers a series of unique and interesting combinations of ingredients. The only flaw, and not a small one, is the excessive price of the drinks, compared to the average: for example, a 1-liter bottle of Coca-Cola costing five euros seems honestly excessive, at the very least unjustified.

I loved the pizza with gorgonzola and cooked ham.
I rarely finish a whole pizza, but this one... I ate it all with equal pleasure, from the first piece to the last.

Not a great location, but the pizza is really good! I go back often and highly recommend it. Light dough and tasty toppings.

I appreciate the effort to use whole-wheat and multi-grain flour, but we want even more bran and germ in the dough, up to 100%.
In the photo: whole-wheat dough on the left; white flour in the center (avoid for your health); multi-grain flour on the right.
As you can see, the bran bits aren't noticeable. What a shame!
If you improve the dough further in the future, I'll give you 5 stars.
