We entered Moliendo Café at a busy time. A waitress was very helpful in finding a place for us, showing attention and kindness. However, another member of staff approached us in a brusque and unwelcoming manner, bluntly asserting that there would be no room. This approach, in a tourist-oriented village, risks compromising the overall experience.
From a gastronomic standpoint, the poached egg with pecorino fondue proved to be a balanced dish: the egg was cooked just right (a runny yolk and a firm white, a sign of proper temperature management), while the fondue was well-emulsified, creamy, and with just the right balance of flavor and fat. It paired excellently with a local pecorino, showcasing the region.
The square spaghetti with pecorino fondue, pancetta, and mushrooms had a different opinion. The layering of fatty ingredients (fondue, pancetta, and pasta sauce) created a visually rich dish, but one that was unbalanced in terms of flavor and digestion. The lack of acidic, bitter, or aromatic elements to counteract the lipid component made the dish cloying and heavy, with a severe gastric heaviness that persisted well into the evening.
I recommend considering reducing the amount of fondue, using a semi-mature pecorino cheese or one sweetened with a neutral dairy ingredient (e.g., sour cream or strained yogurt), and introducing a refreshing ingredient, such as a crunchy vegetable (e.g., puntarelle, fennel) or a fresh, aromatic note (lemon zest, lemon thyme), to improve the flavor balance and overall digestibility of the dish.

The restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The dinner, delicious and delicious, featured cod and Moliterno pecorino cheese. We'll be back again to try other dishes.

Although its refined exterior hides its charm, upon entering, you'll find an elegant, yet understated dining room. The welcome is warm and informal, as is the table service. The menu emphasizes local specialties, with the famous Moliterno pecorino cheese taking center stage, as well as the delicious peperoni cruschi. The wine list is expandable, but it already contains the basics for enjoying the food, especially since they're happy to serve more by the glass than what's listed. Generous portions, excellent value.

The food is truly delicious, appetizing, and imaginatively presented in a pleasant, modern setting. It's lively and probably quite popular with the locals. That's why the TV is on... Modernity and tradition come together here in a pleasant way. Very friendly and attentive service. We had pizza with truffles, spaghetti with mushrooms and panchetta (very filling!) and a large chicken salad (lots of meat) on a fresh salad mix, along with grilled vegetables. Completely satisfied with the value for money. Thank you!
