I dined in passing without a reservation and they were very helpful in finding me a table. We were a group of seven and all the dishes we ordered were satisfying. A special mention goes to the first courses, which were truly excellent and deserve a full thumbs up.

We entered Moliendo Café at a busy time. A waitress was very helpful in finding a place for us, showing attention and kindness. However, another member of staff approached us in a brusque and unwelcoming manner, bluntly asserting that there would be no room. This approach, in a tourist-oriented village, risks compromising the overall experience. From a gastronomic standpoint, the poached egg with pecorino fondue proved to be a balanced dish: the egg was cooked just right (a runny yolk and a firm white, a sign of proper temperature management), while the fondue was well-emulsified, creamy, and with just the right balance of flavor and fat. It paired excellently with a local pecorino, showcasing the region. The square spaghetti with pecorino fondue, pancetta, and mushrooms had a different opinion. The layering of fatty ingredients (fondue, pancetta, and pasta sauce) created a visually rich dish, but one that was unbalanced in terms of flavor and digestion. The lack of acidic, bitter, or aromatic elements to counteract the lipid component made the dish cloying and heavy, with a severe gastric heaviness that persisted well into the evening. I recommend considering reducing the amount of fondue, using a semi-mature pecorino cheese or one sweetened with a neutral dairy ingredient (e.g., sour cream or strained yogurt), and introducing a refreshing ingredient, such as a crunchy vegetable (e.g., puntarelle, fennel) or a fresh, aromatic note (lemon zest, lemon thyme), to improve the flavor balance and overall digestibility of the dish.

The restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The dinner, delicious and delicious, featured cod and Moliterno pecorino cheese. We'll be back again to try other dishes. Highly recommended!!

13/01/2026: An absolute guarantee for divinely good food in the Potenza area. Fair prices for the quality ingredients carefully prepared in the kitchen. A concise menu that allows for a wide range of options, from meat to fish, including local and international cheeses. Among the appetizers, the egg with bacon and truffle deserves a special mention and stimulates the hypothalamus beyond belief. Hats off! The wine list is excellent. Chef Misuriello is like a fine wine, he only gets better with age... ad maiora!
04/01/2026: We had lunch at this delightful restaurant two days ago. There were five of us, including two little girls. We were greeted by a very helpful and kind young lady, and we were delighted, from the appetizer to the main course, with exquisite dishes full of flavor and beautiful to look at. We were very happy and will return next time we pass through Potenza.
