The beds are quite comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel at ease. The room furnishings are dated. The restaurant is good, but average. If we, as guests, put ourselves even a little bit in the shoes of those who run or work in a hotel, then it's obvious: the cleaning staff has to do their job. Anyone who doesn't want to get up until 10:30 can hang a sign on their door: "Please do not disturb." No hotel can offer a lavish breakfast at a low room rate without going bankrupt. Hotel guests should also make an effort to think beyond themselves a little. Treat others as you would like to be treated, and everyone will be better off. I consider it a great advantage that there are still real keys here and not unreliable chip cards. How often have I stood at hotel receptions because of a malfunctioning chip card? I find this hotel so appealing precisely because it continues to uphold time-honored traditions.
