What can I say about this restaurant... Delicious artichoke pizza with a super good pâté, nothing to complain about the food. On the other hand, what can I say about the service...the waiter offered us a table, we preferred another one that wasn't in front of the door, and then the waiter sulked, brought us the appetizers at the same time as the main courses, and threw the dishes on the table... In short, definitely not his day.

A restaurant where you can find a homey atmosphere and be accompanied on an adventure through traditional and historic Roman cuisine. The dishes here are for hearty appetites, and with just one first course you're already satisfied and satisfied. The service is fast and courteous, no-frills, direct, and sincere: if you have a special request, they'll try to accommodate it wherever possible. The kitchen isn't afraid to cook you succulent and delicious rigatoni with pajata, and upon request, even oxtail stew. These are challenging dishes, not for everyone, but they're well-cooked and generously portioned. The crème caramel is very good, and I think the other desserts are equally impressive. A rare find among the many tourist-oriented options available in Trastevere these days.

It’s a easy, simple,uncomplicated, affordable and family run restaurant with home cooked, good food. Mostly local customers. The food is traditional and done well. Portions are quite big, means Pasta, then Maincourse& Dessert is almost too much. The house wine on the other side is cheap& that’s what it tastes like. Undrinkable, at least to me. Take a bottle of wine or beer instead. You pay at the counter, at the owners wife.

Great atmosphere and amazing food! We had the lasagna, pasta carbonara, gnocchi and pizza. Everything was awesome. For dessert we had the tiramisu. Highly recommend it! Thanks, Lucian!

10/10/2025: This place has remained in my heart ever since I tasted its delicacies three years ago. I finally got to return to Rome, and this was my first visit. It's always top-notch in everything, just as I remembered, and the staff is truly courteous. I especially thank Beatrice for her professionalism and kindness.... I'm almost tempted to go back tomorrow!!! 😋
09/10/2025: We ate very well on the terrace. The pasta was delicious. I really liked the carbonara and the one with tomato and basil, simpler but very delicious. We also tried the rice croquettes, which we loved, and the amatriciana meatballs. The latter were very tasty and worth trying. The service was very good.

23/10/2025: The sign bears a date, 1924, a distant memory that inspires curiosity and tenderness. Now it's 2024, and time seems to have stood still for this osteria, which when it opened was truly out of town, as they say in Rome. Roman dishes are brought to nearby tables, and you wish they were diverted to yours. Then there are also the specials of the day, which, on this occasion, the hungry traveler requested for a variety of choices. Artichoke alla giudia to start, expertly prepared and awarded as such to a quivering stomach. The white lasagna with anchovies and pumpkin puree proved to be a true delight. To finish, the house dessert confirmed that the saying "dulcis" is not far from the truth. The white nectar helped the dishes absorb properly. The service was courteous and polite, and the bill was fair. We'll return.
21/10/2025: A Roman trattoria with excellent dishes and generous portions, at prices that are below average. A must-try if you're in the San Paolo area.
