Disappointment after so many expectations... What a shame!
I had enthusiastically followed the episode of "4 Ristoranti" filmed in Lampedusa and was rooting for this place, so much so that I wanted to try it as soon as I arrived on the island. I even got my wife and friends involved: there were ten of us, ready for a great experience.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed.
The house mixed antipasto (I don't remember the exact name) was mediocre, characterless, almost anonymous. One of us ordered the raw shrimp: five peeled shrimp, fresh but served without any accompaniment or creativity, for €35—far too much for what we got.
The fish main courses, at €45, also failed to impress: no memorable flavor, no special attention paid.
They knew we were a group of "almost fans" of the show, and we were told the chef would stop by to say hello, but she never showed up. Maybe because we had expressed some disappointment, but it would have taken very little to redeem the evening — even just a gesture of courtesy.
A real shame. Sometimes television creates expectations that are not reflected in reality. I hope that quality and attention to the customer return to the center of the experience.

A unique and unforgettable experience, with extremely kind and knowledgeable staff. Fresh and exquisite fish. Wonderful and evocative location. Many compliments to the chef who surprised us with an entrée of spectacular au gratin oysters. We will definitely be back.

great environment impeccable service, maybe I don't really appreciate octopus but mine was inedible, tough and seemed raw! I repeat that I probably have no experience with fresh octopus! For the rest everything was good! I found the price excessive

We visited this restaurant on the third evening of our stay in Lampedusa because on the second evening we went without a reservation and they did not seat us even though there were many tables still to be cleared where customers had already finished dinner, however we were told that they were booked but we went a little later and they were empty, instead we went to dinner we had spaghetti with squid ink and pasta with red mullet, good dishes, but comparable to others tasted on the island. To drink a bottle of water, the place clean beautiful and elegant good service. At the time of the bill we paid 63 euros a price in my opinion exaggerated for only two first courses consumed, in addition I wanted to pay with the American Express card and the lady who was at the cashier replied that she did not accept it because the commissions were too high, I can justify the refusal from a trattoria, but in a restaurant like this of medium-high range I do not think you can refuse to provide a service to the customer to avoid paying a commission of 1.5%, my personal experience overall did not thrill me I had higher expectations, I will definitely not return

In the Lampedusa panorama, we found ourselves in a welcoming place, with excellent cuisine. Delicious tasting of appetizers, to try without a doubt the pasta with red mullet ragù and sublime cassata and almond sweets. To try without a shadow of a doubt

My boyfriend and I came a few days ago and we were pleasantly surprised.
Expectations were already high having seen the episode of four restaurants, but once we entered we were transported to a unique and rare atmosphere.
Beyond the structure of the restaurant itself which is dug into the rock, the dining room staff has always been impeccable, both in the description of the menu and in the support for the choice of dishes, as there is an embarrassment of choice.
Lampedusa certainly offers many attractions that deserve to be visited and discovered, and in our opinion, the "One Thousand and One Nights" is one of these.
We hope to be able to return as soon as possible.

Le Mille e Una Notte: An Unforgettable Culinary Journey to Lampedusa
Every time I return to Lampedusa, "Le Mille e Una Notte" is a must-see, and every visit is a culinary experience that goes far beyond a simple meal. This restaurant is a true gem, capable of enchanting the senses and leaving an indelible memory.
The atmosphere is magical, just as the name suggests. Whether you choose to dine with a sea view or in the welcoming interior, you are enveloped in a discreet elegance and a sense of warm hospitality that makes you feel immediately at home. The staff is always attentive, professional and genuinely friendly, ready to guide you through the menu with precious suggestions and a smile.
But the real protagonist is the food.
The cuisine of "Le Mille e Una Notte" celebrates the authentic flavors of Lampedusa and the Mediterranean with a mastery that borders on art. Every dish is a revelation: the freshest ingredients, especially the freshly caught fish, are treated with respect and creativity. The appetizers are a riot of flavors and colors, from raw seafood that melts in your mouth to warm and enveloping dishes. The first courses are a tribute to Sicilian tradition, often revisited with a touch of originality that pleasantly surprises. I will never forget the and/or aromatic complexity of some of their most innovative dishes.
The second courses, then, are the triumph of the catch of the day, cooked to perfection, enhancing the freshness and quality of the raw material.
"Le Mille e Una Notte" is not just a restaurant, it is a complete sensory experience, a place where the passion for good food blends with impeccable service and an enchanting atmosphere. Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner, a special evening with friends or simply want to savor the best of the cuisine, this is the right place. Absolutely not to be missed!

A presto!❤️
